  • I just went to the stampede on Wed. I knew I would go over...I mean they have deep fried jelly beans for crying out loud...ohh and deep fried oreos, funnel cake, corn dogs. But don't sweat it. If you walk around the grounds for 5 hours or so your gonna burn about 1,000 cals. YAHOO! I was happy to see that on the scale I…
  • I try to get a massage at least once a month; this way I can guarantee that the noise will be gone because the family gets to stay home.
  • I am a 26 year old stay at home mom with 2 daughters. I have a 6 year old (Alisha) and a 4 year old (Kaitlyn) who has cerebral palsy. Needless to say I don't always have the time to get out and exercise but I do force myself to find time to go to the gym as much as I can...unfortunately that's not all that often. I would…
  • I'm 26 and also gained about 40 lbs. over the last 3 years. Welcome to MFP...this site is amazing and it will help you lose the weight. I was also really getting depressed when I decided to do something about it...I didn't feel comfortable going out with friends or heaven forbid, (wearing something comfortable in the…

  • What did you put under your settings...sedentary, lightly active, etc. when you started your profile. Sounds to me like it should be set to very active. MFP will update your caloric intake and it won't be any where near 3000 cal. I would make sure yours is set to very active and then not worry about adding in those cals.…

  • I also have no choice but to work out in the evening; usually between 8-9:30 pm. I usually eat dinner about an hr. and a half before I go and when I get home I have a chocolate myoplex shake. I make the shake then freeze it before I go so it's like ice cream/malt when I get home. This way I trick myself into thinking I'm…

  • This is also a favorite in our house. We have the same issue; my husband is envyingly slim with a wicked metabolism and I am so not. Also we add a sprinkling of cinnamon to my 6 year olds and she just loves it.
  • Sounds like a good idea to me.

  • We're headed out of town for my daughters dance recital. It's a two day thing so that'll pretty much take up the weekend. Have to find a way to fit something nice in there for Dad while we're gone.

  • When ever I feel the binge monster coming on I chew gum. Go for the one with the most mint in it. It will kill cravings fast....bonus...great breath! I also suck on peppermints when I feel the night time need to snack. Pepper mint is a natural appetite suppressant, and taking it after a meal may help your body suppress the…

  • I know how that one feels. My daughter, (then 2 yrs. old) was in the Children's Hospital for a major surgery. When we got back to the room after surgery the cleaning staff had come in and done a most thorough cleaning. About a half dozen bottles of brand new and very nice lotions and such had gone missing from the closet…
