  • Chocolate avocado pudding. So simple to make. I’m kinda mad I waited so long to make it. It’s really good. #ilickedthebowl
  • Not living off of gas station food - thank heavens - but sharing meals and a kitchen with a bunch of family members. I told my mom I’m buying my own food so I don’t get “the look” if I eat a 2nd egg in the morning. 🙄. I’ll pull from my own stock and eat theee eggs if that’s what I want.
  • I was just told by a coworker she can tell I have a lot more energy. No more after lunch slump!

  • Love all the success stories! I’m a week in and 7 pounds down. I know it’s water, but I’m still thrilled! I had the cookie battle as well- two giant platters delivered to my work. AND I’m a Girl Scout leader, so my garage was full of cookies. Keep the good stories coming! 😀🥰
  • True. I’m not doing keto - yet. I’m easing in to it. I’m eating lettuce wraps for lunch to balance out the fact that our steak for meals this week is being marinated in honey teriyaki sauce. Give me strength. 😝
  • Thanks. I’m trying to keep it easy. Usually I like the mushrooms in balsamic, but this was like getting punched in the face with vinegar. It was just too much.
  • I sent him a grocery list - he does the shopping too - so I hope that helps. I tried to keep it simple for both our sakes. Lord knows that is a task I’m happy to let him keep. I hated grocery shopping! Yeah, I would have put a stop to the balsamic and low fat had I known that’s what he was planning. I guess we’ll both…
  • I should probably just be responsible for my own food period end. I’m trying to be really low key about this WOE in front of my kids, so I didn’t want to get in to eating entirely different meals and have them asking why I choose not to eat certain things. I can explain all day long, but I think what they see speaks louder.
  • Room for one more? I'm 46 with a 9 and 6 year old kids. I feel like I see myself all over in everyone's posts. I work out at home - I too feel too guilty to hit the gym after work. My kids are at the school from 7:30 in the morning until 4:30 in the afternoon and being away from us more that being with us is a frequent…
  • Room for one more? I'm so much more comfortable working out at home than in the gym. Right now I'm doing a DVD's after the kids go to bed, too. I'm only in two weeks, but so far so good! I'm not a morning person.
  • I just ate two peanut butter cookies for no other reason than I had to put them out for a meeting. I could have just put the container down and walked out of the room, but no. They were good, but not 300 calories worth of good. And now if I can just learn how to spell...
  • 4/28 248.0 5/5 246.5 5/12 - 245. Three pounds off in the last month. SO frustrating. Becaue one special meal day and those three pounds came right back on. UGH!!! Back to the gym today. ETA the previous weights.
  • 4/21 246.6 4/28 248.0 5/5 246.5 Right back where I started. I'm working towards 245 by next weigh in.
  • Hey all! Busy weekend here, so just checking in. Welcome all newcomers! Took an unexpected rest day Friday, so walked 3 hilly miles yesterday (into the wind both ways - how does that happen?) and hit the gym for a full body strength session. Let me just go on record as saying I hate lunges with a singular passion! I…
  • I swear I am going to friend you all just for the constant reminder that I'm not alone in this battle. :) I'll be 44 next month. In the last year I lost a thyroid and gained 40 pounds in about six months. I started doing stregnth training and trying to stick to about 1700-1800 net a day two weeks ago and it's been bumpy!…
  • I weighed exactly the same this week as last. And the scale is still not moving. BOOO! I'm still incredibly sore all the time from stregnth training, so I'm really hoping it's water retention and it will even itself out over the course of 10 weeks!
  • HR here...and food is everywhere! Meeting bagels, productivity cook outs, monthly birthday recognition cakes, doughnuts just because. I have a group of lovely women in my plant that bring awesome home cooked Vietnamese food...in huge portions...on a regular basis...to my office! My kids know Miss Ena on sight - she makes…
  • Hi guys! I'm taking a water break, so I thought I'd check in! I had a good weekend - got a great walk in on Saturday and then yesterday I enjoyed book club with friends at a Mexican place in town. Chips and guacamole - my weakness! Today I snuck to the gym at lunch and worked a 20 minutes ab routine in. I'm sure I'll be…
  • Up until lat week I wasn't doing anything. Since then I've done four walks - trying to work back up to running again - and two strength training sessions. I hope to do that three times a week.
  • Feeling a ton better today, but still not 100%. I'll take it though! Today's plan is to hit the gym for weights after work. I am hoping that it will be nice and quiet because it's Friday. We shall see. I'm trying to psyc myself up for it becasue I dread doing weights - because I'm really awkward not sure of myself. I know…
  • My experience was the same as the other posters...mine came out 7 years ago after having my first child - which I then found out was pretty common! I had no issues with food, and I was able to lose 40 pounds doing the old diet and exercise thing. Sadly, I was also able to find those 40 pounds again! But it's coming off…
  • Today I'm having huge motivation issues. I feel like crap - either allergies or a head cold. I am still sore from my first weights session in God knows how long, so I am planning to walk 2.5 miles today after work. But frankly, I just want to curl up on my couch with a blanket and read. Can't do that while I'm at work! I…
  • Great idea! My NSV today was going to the gym and strength training, something intend to avoid like the plague! I also measured out my dinner portion instead of eyeballing it.

  • I'm in if you have room for one more. In the last 18 months I've lost a thyroid and found the 40 pounds I busted my hump to lose. Not cool. Last year I completed a10K. This year I can barely walk a 5K. I have next to no desire to exercise and I forgot I can't eat like my marathon running husband. I need to snap out of it!
  • I was back up to 248, but that was almost three pounds more than the day before Easter, so I'm going to knock that up to water retention and work on flushing it out this week. My 10 week goal is 10 pounds. 15 would be spectacular. And for what it's worth...I haven't seen the 170's in decades! LOL!
  • Great job Chrissie! I was up, but I figure it's just sodium from all the ham and being sore from a really hilly walk on Saturday. It will come off.
  • Room for one more?
  • Hey there. I'm Jen...and it looks like I'm the "old lady" in the group at almost 44! LOL! I'm from Michigan, working mom of a seven year old boy and a four year old girl and wife of a "former fat guy" marathon runner. My husband and I both lost a lot of weight (50 pounds for me, 175 for him) two years ago. He kept it off…

  • I weigh every day just to keep track - but I record my Sunday morning weigh in.
  • I'd love to join if you still have room... I can use all the support I can get! :)
