21, Triple Major, South Africa :)

I'm coming to London, Shoreditch, for December and January, and I hope to be in the best shape of my life by then! Hold me accountable, I will be lovely when you see me

Ok! I'm fairly new to heavy lifting too, seems like every time I go to gym I have new exercises to try out and get the techniques right and stuff...
-
So a normal day for me should be around 1500. On a cheat day, I can get up to around 4000... Those are my super greedy hungry days... They also tend to be offset by a 1200-2500 cal burn (nice long road cycle), and generally only happen that badly every three months. An more frequent cheat day goes over by about 1000...
-
In my third year and undecided on how much longer I want to be studying... But I'm here for support, I am struggling to get back to the pre-studying weight!
-
Open your legs really wide... (O wait, that sounds inappropriate...) Unfortunately it comes down to bone structure. And it is possible for everyone, but it's also possible for anyone to weigh so little that you can circle your hands around your thighs, and if that's what it takes, do you really want to be that skinny?

Best pizza in South Africa ---> http://thekendz.com/2013/05/04/the-best-pizza-in-the-country-apparently/

No matter how few calories, I would still end up eating them all, which makes it pretty pointless
-
I burn over 1000 when I do a 42km cycle... Takes about 90minutes
-
Note: your resting heart rate should be taken when you are sitting or lying down. When I'm sitting my heart rate can get as low as 55. When I'm standing it goes up to 90. When I run or cycle, my average HR is above 180. The younger you are, the higher your "max" or working HR is (226 - age for women). I have also noticed…

I received this email yesterday: I've never seen a low calorie diet fail, when setup properly. ...for years people have challenged me saying that low calorie diets slow down the metabolism. They are right (but it doesn't matter). Here's the deal...the metabolism doesn't slow down enough to stop fat loss. Lyle McDonald…

If you have time to write a post complaining about it, you have time to exercise. Just go do it!

I'm from South Africa, 21, studying Human Kinetics and Ergonomics, Industrial/Organisational Psychology, and Journalism and Media Studies :D

Lol I have like 3 eggs a day. It's a a nice cheap source of protein and they're pretty quick to make. I just leave them to boil (in my kettle hehe) and I get them in 15minutes :) So simple!
-
MFP always far underestimates my burns compared to my heart rate monitor, so I obviously go with the HRM reading.

My first single valentines day in 7 years!

Maybe try some low impact cardio, like swimming, or even cycling. Resistance training on your legs should strengthen them as well, which means that the muscles will be able to help support your knees as well.
-
I am using 3kg weights, but do find that it is taking me longer to progress onto the next levels just because they're holding me back! I can manage like 15 reps of anterior raises with 3kg in the gym, so when you have to do it consistently for a whole minute, it's a bit much. I don't have lighter weights though, so I'm…

My boobs haven't shrunk at all (well, noticeably anyway) and it could maybe have something to do with the fact that working chest muscles has caused them to be perkier which means they don't look any smaller :D Thank goodness they haven't shrunk, I'm only just a comfortable B (ie. some B's are too big but an A is mostly…

Looks great! I kinda started lifting today, but still a little bit intimidated at my gym, will work on it. I understand that lifting is great for the body, but maybe try incorporate more cardio for it's other benefits as well? Even if it's cardio with weights, like high reps of low resistance at a fast pace. Keep up the…

Chuck in some proteins! Like easy boiled eggs or something, will keep you full and satisfyingly energized :D

I find it hard because I'm pretty sure I was over-trained to finish all the food on my plate. At Uni, they serve up our food for us, and if I'm not quick enough, or they've pre-served a plate, then I don't have a say as to how much gets put on my plate. I feel guilty if I don't finish my food because it just gets thrown…

My friend's ex boyfriend threw a desk fan at her... We had a teacher who threw a pair of scissors at the one kid, kid dodged them, and they stuck in the pin board behind kid's head... He also chased some boys down the corridor with a cricket bat... Crazy teacher!

Hey there! I'm from Jo'burg but studying at Rhodes University in Grahamstown. Been on this MFP for about a month or so now

Hmm, I feel short! Height: 5"2 HW: 136 CW: 127 GW: 121 I just need to tone up and start saying no to all this junk I'm eating! (well, all the excess chocolates I consume)
-
How's this :D http://chocolatecoveredkatie.com/2012/10/08/chocolate-peanut-butter-cake-in-a-mug/ I'm making this as a treat tomorrow, I am so excited!
-
it's all about moderation :D Unfortunately I am unable to restrain myself and have just one slice of pizza, particularly when I'm out with friends. I need a friend who wants to share a pizza with me so I don't eat the entire thing! And, homemade and reduce the cheese... I live for the cheese! Pizza is really one of my…

I do! All the time! I will think about it once, and it will preoccupy me until I eat. And I eat, and I never get full! In fact, when I eat, I get even more hungry! Which is why fasting or things like that "work" for me, cuz if I don't eat, I don't get as hungry... But I find myself battling it every day, and I know it's…

I am so keen to do this as soon as I get home this evening! Yay! I was even looking for something like this to do tonight :D
