Huge props for going!! You had probably already built up tons of anxiety before even stepping in the door. I still get anxiety going to the gym and I've been going for quite some time. It takes a lot to work through that fear and just do it. When I started zumba I would have mild panic attacks from the combination of…

I get them every night and when they're not full blown muscle cramps, it's constant twitching. New studies lean towards magnesium intake helping. I take potassium, calcium and magnesium vitamins daily and also drink lots and lots of water and still get them.

Well done! You look great!!

Very impressive!! Regardless of logging/not logging, it's still impressive!

You can definitely develop the stomach for it. Before nursing the site of blood or any bodily fluid for that matter made me cringe. My first clinical experience changed that. You see patients in there that need your help and you go in there and just do your job, you don't think twice about it. It is one of the most…

Calcium, mag and zinc Potassium gluconate B complex B 12 fish oil Chia seed Biotin I have to take calcium, magnesium, and potassium because I get awful cramps in my left calf. And I take the others cause...well why not, they only do good things for you.

I really needed to read this thread today. I'm on day 2 of quitting and am having a really hard time with it. Mentally, I keep talking myself out of quitting, but can't listen to that evil little voice. I'm trying to continue eating clean as well and have increased my workouts to help remind myself why I am quitting. After…

I have a 8 yr old and 4 yr old. I work full time, school part time, work out as much as possible, and eat healthy. I just think of it as setting a good example for my children. But you also have to want it, if you don't want it bad enough you will find a million excuses not to do it. No one has the extra hour or so to get…

Samntha, love the new pic!! Your definition is nuts!! Pesigrandi, I agree with what you say about listening to your body. Stage 1 I think I tried too hard and too fast to up my weights. Stage 2 I will take it a little slower. I'm going to the gym tonight for S2-B and I'm still getting anxiety over going. I sure do wish I…

Tartsul, sorry to hear all that...sounds like one hell of a weak:( I did stage 2A for the first time on Tuesday and my butt still hurts. Don't think I've ever been this sore. Back at it though tomorrow. Figure I'll life Sundays, Tuesdays, and Fridays.

Beeps, I don't know what you looked like before, but 20 months has definitely worked for you! You look amazing!! I finally did stage 2A today and my body feels it already:) I liked NROLFW on FB and I'm seeing a lot of people on there complain about injuries. Is anyone else worried about this? I try super hard to make sure…

I let a friend borrow my NR book and am supposed to start stage 2 soon. Hopefully she returns it!! Tonight I think I will go to zumba (anyone who hasn't tried it really should...uncoordinated or not. It's a fun workout.) I walked with my family last night for about an hour uphill...my kids complained the whole time, but my…

My husband tried the soy protein powder after his workout and it gave him horrible gas too. He then switched to the whey powder that I take and doesn't have anymore problems with it.

I'm so confused because based off the book I averaged around 2200 I think, off scooby's they said a little over 1700. I've been eating that amount for about 2 months now. My job is pretty sedentary for a nurse. I sit at a desk the majority of the day, but I still workout 4-5 times a week. Before lifting I did only cardio…

I decided to go to Zumba last night and am so glad I did! It was one heck of a workout. I do have a question for you ladies though...if I have quite a bit to lose, do you think 1700 calories is too much? I put on a pair of dress pants today and they weren't as loose as they were before. I love being at 1700 cause I get to…

I stepped on my scale this morning and it popped up 187.5...I just stood there, for quite a long time actually. After my thought process finally registered, I realized that was "person #1's" weight (my fiance). So I stepped back off and got back on and it showed 206. The funny thing is I pictured myself at 187.5...lean and…

Hello everyone! I've been creeping on here for a little bit now and love to see everyones accomplishments. I can't wait to be there some day:) I'm Amber, 31 yrs old, currently live in Harrison Arkansas. I've been doing NR for about 2 months now; however, I'm still on stage 1. I was very hesitant to start lifting because I…
