  • Oh man, I've looked your diary, and there's alot of misleading foods there... for example: on sunday, you had an full english breakfast that just stated 750 calories, and that's it, the rest is empty. For example, the classic full english breakfast serving has: Calories: 586 Total Fat: 33.5g Cholesterol: 404mg Sodium: 1124…
  • Hmm to make a correction of my post, i didn't mean in any way that you should go and starve yourself a bit so that you would lose weight even though you cant exercise. Eat healthy, and heal your body. My suggestions were out there so that you have an idea on how not to gain some weight even though you cant exercise :)
  • Hmm well i can't give ya an advice on what to buy regarding dvd's. But I've got a few buddies that do kettlebell trainings, and it really is intense, especially if you do it the right way. They will increase your stamina, and they will make you alot stronger :)
  • Find out what is your BMR, and eat those calories or a little bit less... Or simply select that you wanna keep weight or lose 1 pound a week here on MFP and you'll get what ya need. Exercising to lose weight is really helpful, but its the calorie deficit that does the work. So if your BMR is for example 1400 cals per day,…
  • Well since everyone already gave great advices, i'm just gonna say 1 thing... MODIFY ! hehe i agree with quality over quantity, how ever if you can do 2 perfect out of 20 then do those 2, but try to do 5 more modified :)) for example, if you can do only 2 pushups out of 15, try doing those 2 perfect, and do the next 5 on…
  • That idea for workout buddies is awesome for p90, to be honest, i tried starting p90 2 times, and each time i'd do maybe 2 weeks, and then i got really really bored. I guess i really like mixing up the exercises. I finally went on p90x, and i'm sticking with it for almost a month now, and have no plans for giving up :) P90…
  • Nice advices :) I'd go with 1. wall then hmm2. window frame :) 3. stairs, 4. girly pushups, 5. normal pushups :) and when you get to normal ones, its not a mandatory thing to go all the way down, go to plank, and start going down. Even if you can just go down dunno 2 inches, try doing them that way, and then in time you'll…
  • Of course i hope that people won't get discouraged to run just because of that article ... there's always pro's and con's. My personal opinion is that there are some better options then plain running for someone who is overweight and just wants to lose weight, especially regarding that persons joints...
  • I didn't want to paste the whole article, but there's plenty more there, about running & cellulite etc etc. I personally never really liked running, but i did try it for a period of time... dunno, doing exercises & gym just does it better for me...
  • Hmm i think its delicious and im using it ... Nature's Plus Spirutein protein meal chocolate shake :)
  • Hmm i think i know exactly what you mean. Before i would just eat whatever i found "attractive" heh.... All in all, nowdays i just try to find out how many calories everything that goes in my mouth has... On some days i go like that, and on some others i slap myself on the forehead and say well ... if something has 50…
  • To be honest, i wouldnt really stress myself out over it. Like Jennify said, (and what i would do) is probably work just a bit harder on that day, and if you love them so much, i would allow myself to have a cookie or two, not 20.... 2! :) that way you can satisfy your hunger for them, perhaps you even wont have cookie…
  • Hmm i found that the biggest impact on my diet was cutting 90 % of my usual daily intake of bread.... nowdays, and that's not every day... i eventually eat 1-2 slices of 7-grain bread, and i do with scrambled eggs or something of that sort. And of course cutting out the sweets, well 99 % of it, and to be honest, i don't…
  • I really have to agree with what MacMadame said. You will lose weight one way or another, however your metabolism will slow down if you go overboard with it ... For example, i have seen numerous discussions about this topic so far ... and then one say eat all calores, some say eat some calories, there are guys that say it…
  • Well to be honest, alot of it depends on how big you are to start with, and how much "water weight" you've got. Try mixing your calorie intake a bit (do 2 days of 1300 then 1 day of dunno 1550) and also, try to measure yourself, because if you're doing both cardio and strength you could be losing body fat and replacing…
  • Hmm everyone seem to run into a plateau every now and then, however i found out that getting rid of that is usually alot easier by changing the calories intake a bit, and cutting back on the carbs, instead of proteins, so if i were you i'd give it a shot with lowering the carbs a bit and perhaps mixing up the intake about…
  • Hmm it really depends on what your weight is and of course your exercise if you got the diet part covered. There's no WAY im getting even close to my suggested calories even though some people say that i shoud, but this is working wonders for me so far :) My suggested intake is about 2600 per day + the exercise ... so i…
  • Oh yea... I can tell for sure that the scale is not necessarily your friend always :) I've been doin p90x for hmm 13 days now, of course i've switched my eating habits and really "bringing it" as much as i can. Now when i look at myself i dont really see much of a difference, neither did i expect any in the first few…
  • Hmm well, this is interesting. And I thank you for your post, the only problem with that theory is that i DID take dunno 2000-3000 cals a day up until 2 weeks ago, i had maybe 2-3 meals a day, but mostly of junk food or late at night because im pretty sure that eating half a pizza, pasta with meat & 2-3 slices of white…
  • Well it really depends on what you like, but for example, i can eat spinach by itself lol. The "cooked, drained, with salt" kind hehe. If i'm not mistaken 1 cup of that is like 7g of carbs in total and 5g of proteins
  • Heh i think you're probably right, and im gonna give the peanutbutter idea a try, and perhaps some p. shakes when i get a chance. As for the 3000 cals a day, it really isn't a problem to get to it lol, 1 four cheese pizza, or mixed one and *puff* you're at ~1800 lol :D but the idea is to get there with HEALTHY food heh…
  • Ok, i get where you're aiming at, but lets say that i eat a bit more food with more calories, and get to dunno 2400-2500 calories... then go and exercise and burn ~1000 cals.... then im at 1500 again lol ... and i need 2600... you see where im getting at? I mean, to be close to my goals (200 cals + or - ) on a day that i…
  • Actually I've been soda free for at least a year now ... a couple of years back, i used to drink lots of coke etc, but somehow i just stopped doing that, now i maybe have 1 can in 2 months lol, so i don't have a problem with coke. On a different matter of coffee and caffeine, i used to have atleast 3 cups a day. Now since…
  • As far as I've seen P90x is a great program... but its either for people who are already doing their workouts because its really intense... or for those who are really REALLY determined to go through with it. If you don't fit any of those cases, perhaps try the regular P90 and then continue to p90x. Just my thoughts :)
  • Well, 1st off you've got good results, so don't feel sad :). As for the love handles, try doing twisting exercises as in hold your legs in one place, and try twisting your body left & right... doing crunches in different positions and sideways. Once again, be happy with your results :)
  • Hello there and welcome, congratz on the great results, and i myself am givin a try to p90 aswell... Enjoy your stay :)
  • Actually i get to 2k pretty easily ... dunno if its that im used to plenty of workouts or what is it... but i repeat im NOT hungry during the day... and yea, goal is set to 2lb/wk ... For example today... my suggested NET calories is 2670 add to that the calories you get from exercising the number gets way up to 3914...…
  • Yea, I'm by no means HUNGRY for a longer period of the day... I feel excellent this way, eating when i feel that i could eat, and eating not until im completely full, but until i dont feel any hunger... and eating 5 times a day (with snacks like yogurt or a protein shake) i feel excellent throughout the day...
  • Damn guys, you are all such a great inspiration ... I'll have to take my starting pic one of these days... even though im roughly 10 lbs lighter then when i was at my heaviest ... but it will come in handy when i finish my transformation :) keep up the great work... awesome results!
  • Alright, let me first start with one big thank you for all the tips that you've written down. !!! Now, to explain my diet/fitness and everything else a bit more... I've spent around 5 years in the gym every other day for about an hour and a half (stopped going 2,5 years ago) and according to my doc, my ideal weight…
