mmmmm! when i eat oatmeal, i mix in a rhubarb/strawberry blend. soooo good!

well...you're eating less, so you've created a deficit. you are working out, so that increases the deficit (unless you are eating back what you burn). you are drinking more water, and are likely flushing water weight. starting a healthier lifestyle usually has one losing rapid weight very early on. give it a couple weeks…

rock on! great discipline! :D

the crock-pot is your friend! casseroles and stews are fantastic for time-savers. just toss everything in, turn it on, and go about your day! one of my favorite crock-pot recipes is chichen cacchiatore 2 bell peppers, sliced into thin strips 1 medium onion, sliced into thin strips 2-5 cloves garlic, minced (depends on how…

@craigmandu the key to the Wendy's frosty flavor is malt. maybe a small scoop of malted drink mix, perhaps? or just plain malt if you can find it. i had hoped the texture would be similar, if not the taste (i've never had one that tastes like bananas. ^_^) i'm still looking forward to trying one of these...

bump for later! yum!

meh...i use mfp to calculate everything i plan to eat in an entire day...then i DON"T have to think about it. :)

cacchiatore! 2 bell peppers, sliced into thin strips 1 medium onion, sliced into thin strips 2-5 cloves garlic, minced (depends on how much you like garlic!) 6lbs chicken (i use leg quarters or thighs, after removing the skin!) *4 - 6 medium tomatoes, diced basil, oregano, parsley, salt, pepper (to taste) in a crock pot,…

i'm glad she taught me that even if i can't hear the answer right away, prayer will ease any difficulty. :)

sad how this is the "ideal" of beauty...and it's all just smoke and mirrors...and a few clicks of a mouse. :(

so many angry people! eesh! to the OP original comment: yes, the concepts are changing. it is easier to buy bulk in overly processed "food." it is easier to not get up and move around. it is easier to just buy a larger shirt than to strive for the ones that don't fit anymore. it is easier to ignore rolls of fat because "it…

i do creative writing when the mood strikes me, but i can never work a good narritive. i always get stuck in a Tolkienian style of back-history and lore. :(

mmmm...

pfffffff! right? i heard about this, and just can't get around the gag reflex!
-
wait...can i use generic dish soap? i know that might be cutting corners, but i really prefer the taste.

zucchini, spinach, avacados, and celery tend to hide very well in smoothies. it might make the color a tad funky, but the flavor would be fine. toss in some berries and yogurt, you could even use a scoop or two of protein powder or meal replacement powder.

that is AWESOME! ^_^ it's exciting that you both got to your goals. kudos to each of you!

Hmmm...i would suggest letting your sister initiate the next gathering, especially if her future hubby is going to be so inulting to his hosts. if you don't want to open that can of worms with her (she may be blind to his faults against others since you said he's good with her) then maybe politely decline a get-together…

celery and/or carrot sticks?

that is a FANTASTIC success story! way to go! maybe, if you are still having wardrobe issues, you could check local thrift stores for bargain days to get some good deals on cheap clothes to tide you over.

i use chia seeds to quell hunger. they swell up in water (and most other liquids.) gives a little umph to a normal glass of water. they do take a bit of getting used to based on consistency, but i think they are pretty effective. also, i would recommend as many leafy greens as you can stand. lettuces tend to carry water,…

you could do a fritatta/quiche...i usually puree the more fiberous veggies like broccoli and celery. you could either pop it in muffin cups or smooth it on a cookie sheet to make flatbread. or make it into hotcakes! :) i would also suggest a light stir fry or broil. leave off the sauce, or at the very least, toss with…

have actually had someone tell me that my weight loss is super scary (averaging about 6 lbs a month) and that i need to stop drinking "plant water" (i happen to take about a TBSP of chia a day in a glass of water) so that i don't waste away...yeeeah.

panna cotta...lordy, this stuff is GREAT!

just for the record...medical fields used to be uninformed about Celiac disease too...wanna go up in arms and claim that is a "fad" too?

Sears/K-Mart is pretty good. Check to see if you have any local plus-size consignment stores. Used to buy all my bigger clothes from a shop like that. :) Good luck!

pfffffff can't breathe!
