going gluten free can help any number of different symptoms. because gluten digests so slowly, when you take it out of your diet, your body has less work to do. i had an issue previously with rashes and hair-loss. cut the gluten, and noticed overall improvement. there have also been reports that gluten free diets can…

i have headphones that wrap around my ears (can't stand buds, and they have a tendency to fall out when my ears start to get sweaty) when i'm at the gym... usually, i listen to something with a hard tempo to keep myh pace up. Carmen, Rebecca St James, Steven Curtis Chapman, and Skillett are usually pretty great for that. :)

regarding your rant over different ingredient options, consider how many people struggled to find the correct portion and nutritional info. i have seen multiple database entries that are flat out wrong or appear to be fudging the facts to justify a splurge. entering your own info is sometimes easier that searching, so the…

i have thought about doing this...especially with the suggestion to use the remaining pulp as almond flour! let me get my hands on a dehydrator, and i'm in!

i use a chia and flaxseed blend instead of breadcrumbs in meatloaf and burgers.

i wouldn't say laziness in most cases, but i DO agree that a lot of the "conditions" people have are mental. when you are sad, scared, and discouraged, it feels impossible to take charge and make a change. generally, they fall into desperation and attempt a "quick fix" program, only to be MORE discouraged by failure. that…

i'm going to agree with the suggestions to bring your food and keep it at your desk. at my office, we are plagued by lunch thieves, so i keep my food with me anyway. if you have NO reason to go in the kitchen area (read: your food is not in there) you have NO reason to be hanging out there. it is a problem area. stay out.…

i went low carb before joining MFP. basically gave myself one last month to eat the carbs i wanted, used up opened packages. anything that was unopened from my pantry or freezer went to family, friends, co-workers, neighbors or local food pantries. anything home-cooked and stored in the freezer went to family and friends.…

that is awesome! i had a physical and health screening recently to complete EMT qualifications...the guy in charge of the physical endurance portion had helped me get through carpal tunnel therapy...knew me 150lbs ago. ^_^

Onderland wasn't a place I was looking for. It just happened. Stepped on the scale and I was 198. I hadn't been that low since BEFORE high school. Spent that whole day crying: from the joy, from the long-term denial, for all the wasted life. Now, Onderland is a place I'm comfortable. I have so much more energy, and even…

also, if they are still firm enough (green or JUST turning yellow), you could quarter the bananas, then dredge them through an egg/milk bath and graham cracker crumbs/cinnamon sugar. fry them on a non-stick skillet. make fruit salad... soak pre-cooked rice in milk or cream (non-dairy should work) with a little sweetener.…

From: http://www.onceuponachef.com/2013/01/banana-pancakes.html 1-1/2 cups all purpose flour, spooned into measuring cup and leveled off 2 tablespoons sugar 2-1/2 teaspoons baking powder 1/2 teaspoon salt 1 small, over-ripe banana, peeled (the browner, the better) 1 cup plus 2 tablespoons low fat milk 2 large eggs 1/2…

well...i eat the same thing over and over, but i tend to make a large batch of whatever (casserole, crock pot stew, meatloaf, etc) and portion it out for the week. it is TONS easier, but it does get a little boring. i usually switch up my snack to keep it interesting. :)

i did a ratio of 2:2:1... 2 c oats 2 c protein powder 1 c peanut butter i pulsed my oats a few times in the food processor to break them down a bit. mixed the peanut butter in by hand until it was crumbly. added water by the TBSP until i liked the consistency and shaped them out into bars (got about 14). holy cow,…
