  • I love the juice too but kale never sat well on my stomach. Certain veggies will give you more juice. Cucumbers are awesome, celery & spinach are my main greens. Add a bell pepper for serious vitamin c boost. Blueberries...great antioxidant. I always add an apple. Ginger root is on my shopping list. Just remember even…
  • A new dr is KEY!!! I had a crummy dr for about 2 minutes - called him "Dr Sunshine" - worst dr I've ever spoken to. I applaud you for all your positive changes! I know they aren't all easy but isn't great when you realize just a few little tweaks can make a monsterous difference! I agree they SHOULD know about all of this…
  • I've noticed I drink more if I've got a straw. I'll keep a 32oz container of water at my desk & fill a huge tupperware glass and drink that during the day just to make sure I get some fluids besides coffee in me but at home I've got a travel glass w/a straw and it helps. I have to concentrate on it though - I'm not a huge…
  • my biggest "sore spot" was my booty & my hips - gotta be from climbing the walls - after seeing so many of you take on the tough mudder & live to tell the tale I might just have enough time to psych myself up enough to do it next year!!
  • WAH HOO!! That rocks! I did my first mud run this year - tough mudder looks very scary to me - I did the Hell Run. Not a big runner myself, have a habit of getting sick when I run and can't get anybody to carry a bucket for me - as I was trying to train I got the flu and my training came to a screaming halt the week before…
  • The herbal supplement Feverfew helps with migraines....but you cannot take it as a constant supplement. As with anything, too much is never a good thing. Do some research but I do know people that it has helped. This is preventative only - not something you take, like Advil, if you're symptomatic
  • I would also suggest taking a look at the artificial sweeteners if you're using any. Some can have some pretty uncomfortable side effects for different people. Also - if you're taking in less caffeine than normal that can give you headaches. One last suggestion that I just recently found was that headaches can be a sign of…
  • Our favorite is marinating in Italian dressing overnight & then bbq it - the leftovers mashed up w/mayo make a great "tuna-like" spread - and add some fresh cilantro (use it like lettuce) on the sandwich & it's amazing!!! Hmmmm...ideas for dinner!! Cook until it's easy to seperate at the thickest part - easiest way I've…
  • Juice some lemons - mince a bunch of garlic & mix it with some EVOO - you can add pepper to give it more of a kick but this is very simple to make & tasty too! (no need to measure - go by taste & preference) ALSO - I just started loading my salad w/fresh pico de gallo - very low on calories but gives some serious flavor!!
