Congratulations on your 100-pound loss! That's an amazing accomplishment. I can totally relate to your post regarding the several month stall in weight loss. I'm inspired to see that you didn't give in but made adjustments and kept going.

I know exactly what you mean. My goal is to lose about 150-175 pounds; I've lost 40-ish since October 2011. I do get discouraged that it's not going faster, but then again, I like the fact that I'm not having to follow a really strict diet or exercise like crazy. One thing that encourages me, though, is that I haven't…

What an amazing transformation! Congratulations on your weight loss, but most of all, great job doing the work and committing to a healthy lifestyle.

Great job! Keep it up! Your pictures are lovely.

Thank you all for your kind words! It's an amazing feeling to be able to post my own success story. As one poster encouraged me, I plan to step it up a notch and keep moving forward! You all are great, and best wishes on your journeys!

Way to go! You should feel like a superhero! I completely understand how challenging it is to walk/run at 300 pounds. Good for you.

That is definitely something to be proud of. I flew for the first time last summer when I was at (or very close to) my heaviest weight ever, so I know how uncomfortable it can be – both physically and mentally – when you can't buckle your seat belt.

Congratulations on your first 5K and for beating your time goal!

I use Seconds Pro to do my walk/run intervals. I created my own timers, but they also have preset sample timers for stretches, HIIT, and more. You can either play music through the app or have it on in the background. I hope this helps!

Agree. My score was 0 (not addicted), but I could see my answer being different at this time last year.

I love the "a year from now" quote as well. It's very motivating. Thanks for sharing your story! You look great, and your hard work has paid off.

Totally agree with this. Just log it and don't go overboard.

Congratulations! Slow and steady is the way to go! I have to keep reminding myself of that. Stories like yours help me push forward.

Congrats on your achievement! You look great, and your son is a cutie.

I consistently weigh myself on Monday mornings before breakfast, after a poop, and in the nude. So I say log the post-poop number it if it fits what you normally do. For example, I probably would hesitate to count a weigh-in if it didn't fit my established criteria. :)

You look great!

Well said. After years of trying –and failing – to lose weight, I have finally been successful because I'm not denying myself the foods I enjoy. Of course I eat much less of them and aim to get most of my calories from nutritious foods, but nothing is off limits. In the past, I would try to avoid a "bad" food, eat it, and…

Congratulations on your milestone, and thanks for sharing your story! I'm only about 1/8 through my weight loss journey and have found myself getting discouraged lately (I gained three pounds this week!). Reading about your success, and even your setbacks, helps me plow through. Keep up the good work!

I count everything, even fruits and vegetables. I can see where you're coming from when it comes to lettuce or other very low-calorie vegetables, but I track them anyway. However, the calories in fruit can add up, especially those with a high sugar content such as grapes and bananas.

Well said.

Exactly. Maybe it's my Type-A personality, but I don't avoid logging junk food just because no one's looking.
