  • Hi all! I am with you and starting my journey in earnest this time, too. Having encouraging mfp friends and watching them find success is a big boost. Feel free to add me and we can support each other along this road.
  • Anyone can feel free to add me as we'll. I'm not new but only recent got serious with my logging. I come on daily and I keep a small group of friends so I can really see their progress and offer them support while getting a boost of motivation in return. This is a necessary life change for many of us on here just to live…
  • Feel free to add me! I need all the support I can get and love to get and give encouraging words to my mfp network! Nineteen pounds down was great progress and you can definitely get back on track to make it happen. Good luck on your journey!
  • Weekends are tough, especially because that's when I socialize and indulge. Three things have helped: 1) weekend workouts. Gives me more calories to work with. 2) checking restaurant menus and making decisions before I go out. 3) don't buy into the theory of free days. There are no free days! Free days make people think…
  • It's a tough program to start and get used to, especially when it sets you at a low calorie count. It'll be easy to go over at first or you'll feel like you're starving on the days that you don't. But your body does adjust and you do start to get a better understanding and better watch on the calories and nutrition info on…
  • Oh, and I have the app everywhere! Bookmarked it on my home and work laptop and have the apps on my phone and iPad. They all sync no matter which you use. Just like all change, it takes some adjustment, but you can make it work.

  • Welcome, Cathy! I was very sporadic when I first started. It's a challenge to get used to logging foods especially with recipes with multiple ingredients. But once I used the recipes and my foods tabs to save things I have regularly, it's been easier. The best advice I can give is to set small goals. First I told myself I…

  • Hi Ladies, Feel free to add me as a friend. I'm not a mom (yet) but hopefully that's in my future. I do work full time and understand the struggles of trying to balance home, work, and fitness. I've been on the site for a while, but only got more serious a little over two weeks ago. I'm encouraged by so many women on here…
  • You don't sound like a loser at all! I don't have very many MFP friends either, and the ones I had didn't comment very often or offer that extra motiviation that I was hoping to get from the community. It really helps to have the support, especially when you get in a lull or find yourself getting discouraged. Sending you a…
  • Hi Tori, I just turned 37 and I can relate! I want to lose about 100 pounds, and it gets really discouraging. Would love to find some friends on here that will offer support and keep me encouraged. Sending you a FR right now. Let's make this journey count.
  • I am sooo with you on the first look with the jeans! To be able to show off a cute belt and tuck a shirt in would be great! In due time... in due time...
  • Sit in a chair and cross my legs rather than my ankles.
  • If I wasn't siting at work reading this, I might have come to tears. This is exactly what I needed to read this morning! I am struggling and I so desperately want to find the new me that you have found. I will not quite. I do deserve this. Thank you for being that voice for me this morning.
