  • Our school is trying to get a teacher walking program off the ground now. I hope I will be able to participate. Depends on schedules. But, I think it is a fabulous idea!

  • My favorite work outs involve weight lifting or resistance training. I love working with Kettlebells and free weights. I prefer a work out that leaves me feeling like I worked my muscles. I have tried workouts that involving dancing and I am just to uncoordinated. Such a bummer, lol
  • Hi All! I am a K-1 Special Day Class teacher. I have two kiddos 12 and 8 who keep very busy schedules. My husband works nights and we are often giving high fives in a parking lot of some sports practice as I take over kid duties and he heads out to work. I struggle to find time to work out and know that if I do not…
  • No shame in scaling a workout! Everyone at Crossfit is pushing themselves at their level. You will be inspired and amazed by your growth over time. Keep with it! You'll do great!
  • Happy New Year! I too would love the motivation and support as I clean up my food choices. Feel free to add me.
  • This was very helpful! I was wondering the same. I had been logging as circuit training but I like the personalization and breaking it up as strength and circuit training. Much more accurate recording.

  • I prefer not to weigh often. At the point I am at, it does little but change my mood and motivation. I do a fair amount of strength/weight lifting and it is not uncommon for the scale to go up. I find measurements and just paying attention to how I feel and how my clothes fit is a better indicator of success. I can easily…
  • Hard boiled eggs, veggies like carrots, celery, bell peppers, cucumbers, and tomatoes with individual serving size hummus ( I usually buy at costco), Krave jerky, KIND bars or Larabars. Currently, I am not one speak about what's motivating because I am not at the time. However, when people ask, I usually tell them I just…
  • Hello there, I am new again to MFP. Trying to figure out how it may fit in with helping to motivate me again. When I am motivated, eating clean/Paleo or primal is what I prefer. Currently, motivation is the problem though....
  • Up a pound. Did not think I would be up so I am a bit sad about it. This is when the scale really gets me down. I think I feel good and I did well and the scale is up. Frustrating! Well, we shall see what is in store for next week.
  • Only down 0.2...160.4 to 160.2. Disappointing but I know that two glasses of wine and not drinking my water yesterday did not help the situation. Ah well. Perhaps next week will be better.
  • Excellent! Those are fantastic goals you have set! Keep up the great work!
  • Definitely plan ahead! It is a huge help in being successful with clean eating. Also, Tosca Reno recommends having a cooler that has clean eats in it each day. This helps you stay on track. I find that it is helpful for me to cook a meal for dinner and take leftovers for lunch the next day. This is one less thing I have to…
  • I promise to go to the gym everyday for the remainder of this week and participate in TRX, sculpting class or I will row. Today is the first day I have been back to the gym since last Thursday. My attendance has been so poor lately. Hopefully this challenge will encourage me!
  • I have done it but found that for me, clean eating is a better option. More flexibility, more choices and I find that having a small amount of grains helps my food stick with me longer. However, what I can say is some paleo folk allow dairy as long as it is full fat and straight from the cow basically. Check out Civilized…
  • Good point about nutrition! Sadly I let the injury be an excuse for some terrible eating which truly makes no sense at all. Thanks so much for your input!!!
  • Thanks for the idea. My gym has a number of pieces of equipment in the pool. I will check it out. Thanks so much and best of luck in your journey!
  • Accountability is what I need! I am a full time special education teacher and have a 5 and 9 year old. I am often on the run and find that planning ahead and food prep help me be the most successful I can be. I love strength training and enjoy rowing for cardio. I enjoy being in the gym when I get there but... Age: 36…
  • I have not done her specific challenge, however, I really like her blog site. She has yummy and clean recipes that my kids enjoy too. Sucanat (dehydrated cane syrup) is clean and can be found at stores like whole foods. Good luck with the challenge.
  • I like Tosca Reno's Eat Clean Diet the best. I have tried weight watchers and Paleo in the past and I find that eating clean is a balanced approach to nutrition that I can maintain as a lifestyle.
  • Hello, My name is Sally. I am a busy Special Education Teacher, wife, and mommy to a 5 year old boy and 9 year old girl. I am looking forward to this challenge motivating me to eat cleaner, become stronger and more confident. I enjoy working out, especially strength training and I like to follow the Eat Clean plan. My…
  • I love to have apples and almond butter. Easy, quick and transportable. As well, I always try to have raw almonds on hand. I find that I need the protein to help me get through to the next meal without feeling famished. Good luck on your journey!
  • I too am interested in support in my Clean eating journey. I do well when I plan ahead and then let it all unravel when I don't start my week with a plan. I am looking for support to help me maintain consistency as well as ideas to help me stay on track when life gets crazy.
