We, mommies need to take care of ourselves to be the best we can for our kids! Good luck with your new Zumba class and your continued journey!…

Lulabellewoowoo, I am a new runner, I started in Sept. I had always admired my older sis, a longtime marathon runner and a lean, healthy 46 yr old. I am a SAHM of three great kids but sometimes got caught up in the stress and the sendentary-ness of it all. I said to myself, "enough" Once I kicked some weight and the kids…

I pick my days outside, if it is somewhat dry I take to the roads, if not I do the halls at our local school. I too, would love to hear some…

from what I understand......Protein (any source) after working out helps your muscles recover. I always follow my workout or run with a protein~something, Light string cheese, protein bar, hard boiled egg white. Hopefully someone else has some more scientific explaination for you. Keep up the good work!

I cannot have aspartame, so diet drinks are out of the question. However I have found some homemade "gatorade" recipes that help take my water in. 9 Tbls sugar, 3/8 tsp table salt and 1 packet of unsweetened koolaid, any flavor. Mix with 60 oz. of water, or vary the amt of water to your taste. Hope this helps:smile:
