  • Way to go! You are truly an inspiration! Have fun out and feel "hot" in those jeans! Enjoy your success!!
  • Hi, Your post really touched me! I have had a bad relationship with food my entire adult life, and though I have never had a clinical eating disorder diagnosed, I sort of understand the frustration. I found a website on the internet that has helped me tremendously. It is http://www.burnthefatinnercircle.com/. Tom Venuto, a…
  • My personal trainer got me a set or TRX straps. I travel and I can verify that it is a very hard workout. It is a great tool, as it packs small and I can do a full body workout in my hotel room. The down side is now I have no more excuses to not do weight training. After a 30 minute workout with the straps, my entire body…
  • I think you should congratulate yourself on what you have accomplished! I know my husband is not terribly supportive of my efforts - I think he misses his eating partner and I think it makes him "see" how horrible his own eating habits are. I think it is great that your husband loves the way you look and wants you to look…
  • Corrine Nester has a book -- Complete list of food counts (I think that is the name). I bought one at Amazon.com for really cheap and it counts everything. I also use a scale to measure everything, even things that have a quantity as measure. Weight is much more accurate.
  • Congratulations on your upcoming wedding! That should give you a great incentive to stay on track! I had to giggle when I read your post. I, too, USED to cope with every situation with food. You forgot to add my favorite when trying to lose weight -- weigh and lose weight= eat to celebrate and weigh and gain weight or stay…
  • THANKS! I love flowers! Thought a little laugh would be good medicine!!
  • Hard to burn too many calories in 3 minutes!!!!
  • I would buy some fat caliphers and a tape measure. You may be losing muscle when you workout less. We all want to lose weight, but fat is really what we want gone. If you find that you are still losing fat and size when you workout less, then I would say keep doing what works! It sounds like you are excercising a lot, even…
  • I have had the same type of problems. My husband had to learn that I meant it and would not eat the "bad" things he cooked. My friend that started dieting with me, who has not done very well, told me yesterday that I was sounding a little obsessive with my eating and exercise. I now realize after 15 years of failures and…
  • I would be happy to be an accountability partner with you. I do not have any help or encouragement at home either and have come to realize that I will have to be accountable for my results, good or bad, anyway. For the past 20 years I have used that as an excuse, but I finally became unhappy enough to make some changes for…
