It makes me crazy if the volume on my tv or radio is on an "off" number... 11, 13, 17, 19, etc. Even numbers are fine, and multiples of 5 are fine. Yes, I will grab the remote and change the volume when you're not looking.

I lose more when I drink more water. I aim for about 4 litres a day (that's about 135 oz or a little more than 1 gallon)

I think the fact that you only ate 18g of fibre (and 0g of fibre at lunch) is probably your bigger problem. I'd suggest to make a sign that you are a stinky boy and wear it around your neck for the rest of the week.

Yes I'd say you're definitely building muscle if you're doing hills, climbing intervals, hard peddling, etc. I've noticed a major change in my legs, hamstrings and calves since cycling... but it has taken a while. Keep it up :)

I feel the same way about all the new years post where people say they are going to lose 50 lbs this month. They only lose 1 in he first week and think they are a total failure....and then they watch the Biggest Loser show where you have to lose 20+ pounds in a week and completely give up.

General rule is about 1g per kg of body weight. I found it easy to just set my macro goals to 40% carbs / 30% fat / 30% protein.

What about a different kind of protein shake? There are many other than whey option. Soy protein (they make me gassy, but some people like them?) Hemp protein (I use hemp protein in my salads) What about beans? Tofu? Lentils?
