I find that exercise is the biggest reason for me having a gap in my calories. I never take a taxi or bus to anywhere, I just walk and I'm also fortunate in the sense that I as part of my degree, we end up doing a lot of exercise so I build up the calorie deficit quite quickly

I know what you mean, I've been in the red far too many times this month and it can be really distressing. I do log when I overeat though, one, because you need to know when things go wrong so you can look back and see how you can improve and, two, because my diary's private I would only be lying to myself, which to me…

Okay, I've noticed that iced tea and coffee has come up quite a few times in this topic. I have tried both of them cooled before and it didn't really agree with me, but I've never considered iced coffee or tea before and I will give it a go thanks for the suggestion. Though having said that I did try Lipton's Iced Tea once…

Thanks for your suggestion, I'll look into it :) it's good to know that there are other people who really don't like hot drinks. Everyone has always given me really weird looks when I've said I don't drink them.

I see your point & I did think that this might have been the reason why I was tired during exam season, because I am the first to admit that I relied on liquid energy, much more than I do now, to get me through exams, revision sessions and coursework. I have since had two months off school with no stress and as much time…

Thank you for the suggestion I will have a look into it :) it's good to know that someone else understands :)

Really ? I didn't know they did stuff like that ! May be worth looking into, if you have more information on this it would really be a huge help :)

I combine my workout, more out of necessity than by choice, but I guess it depends on your circumstances, I can imagine it would be nice to do one session of one and another, later in the day of the other. I tend to do Cardio first, because it gets me mentally as well as physically ready to do strength training.

I can see where your husband is coming from. I used to run along the canal near our neighbourhood in the early morning when no one was about, which was fine in the summer months because it was light. But during the winter months, when it was darker in the morning, I didn't feel safe & I stopped soon after. Now I go to the…

Age : 19 Height : Around 5'4" - 5'6" ( I haven't measured myself in a while but I guess it gives you a rough idea) Daily Calorie intake: 1550 Workouts : 4 a week, Weight loss goals : 15kg and then working on toning my body. Hope that helps :)

Hello, I used to be more or less okay with this, but since becoming vegetarian iron levels have become a bit of an issue for me. I've found that belvita breakfast biscuits have 80% of your iron needs, but I don't eat a lot of them on a regular basis, I tend to just take an iron supplement. Anyway, I hope this helped :)

First of all, congratulations on your weight loss, that is a remarkable achievement I think that it's easy for us to forget that.at the end of the day we're only human beings and human beings sometimes make mistakes. My advice would be to take a deep breath, *kitten* what you might have in the house that triggered your…

I have the same problem, I've always been a sweet tooth and in the future I'm not sure that's going to change. Although I haven't had a chance to try it, I have heard that frozen grapes taste very similar to hard boiled sweets, if that helps at all :).

I've heard a lot of good things about the Night Circus, if anyone reads / has read this please let me know what you think of it ? and I read the Time Travellers Wife a few years ago and loved it :D. Thank you for the amazing suggestions :)

I haven't read many romance novels lately (then again I've had exams on for what feels like a millennia, so I haven't been reading much of anything). But I have just finished Alan Furst's 'Spies of Warsaw' it may not be your cup of tea because it's strictly a spy novel, but there is a love story wove into it, which may be…

haahaa, no not really.

I think the main problem in the UK with being Vegan (not sure about everywhere else so I'm sorry if I'm generalising a bit here) is the cost. As I think I mentioned before, one of my vegan teachers has said that being Vegan isn't really possible when you're in university or on a student budget. But I guess I can still have…

Hello, I'm aware of beauty products and other non food related things not being animal friendly because of animal testing, in fact that was what lead me to considering becoming a veggie and I will have to do a lot more research on what I can and can't get food wise, but thank you for giving me some hints as to where to…

Hello, Thanks for the links, don't worry about them not linking, I managed to get to them regardless. Unfortunately, I haven't had a lot of time to look at them all, but I have had a brief look and it's been really useful so far so thanks again. Don't worry about them being centred more towards Vegans, I don't have a…

hello, thank you so much for the help and I'm sorry I couldn't get back to you sooner, I haven't been on my laptop for a few days. At the moment I am in the UK, so yes the cheese will be a little harder to find, but I suppose I will find a way around it, and thank you for the tip about the cheese actually. I had no idea…

Tennant is great in everything he does :) but I think he was upstaged slightly by Olivia Coleman in that last episode and rightly so, her acting was superb. I'm not good with murder mystery's so its no surprise that I didn't know who it was, but very well written and interested to see how they intend to bring it back ...

I think it's a case of what you feel comfortable with at the end of the day. I am not comfortable with those sit around and do nothing holidays so I can afford to be a little less strict on the eating front because I know I've done the exercise. Having said that though, I do still try and stay healthy and I do keep tabs on…

I had genuinely never thought of the frozen water thing, that's amazing :) thank you so much

This is an amazing idea, thank you for sharing. I have one question though. Do you store this somewhere cool like a fridge during the morning or anytime before you eat, because I'm still at school and there are no facilities for leaving food in a cool place (other than the school locker, which is not ideal, as you can…

Oh my god, this is amazing 0.0 thanks for sharing :)

At the moment I am still living with my mum and dad and my mum is firmly against online grocery shopping (she's convinced that they're going to send her all the food that's hours from going off if she doesn't pick it herself) so that really is an unavoidable trip and I will give the exercise stuff ago, I don't know what's…

Hello, I'm Catherine and as well as reading I like acting and photography and I am currently reading Les Miserables by Victor Hugo and judging by the thickness of that book I may be doing so for a long time :)

You are definitely not the only one. I have had friends of mine who, when I have announced that I cannot have chocolate because I am trying to eat healthier have proceeded to wave a chocolate bar in my face for five minutes, thinking I will succumb to temptation. It's a nightmare, especially in a society that is constantly…
