I was sleeved 2/18/15. HW 266 LW 202 CW 216. Definitely add me. I need help as well to get this weight off.

I just found thread talking about it.

Rob, your words are really resonating with me. I am coming out of a darker place in my journey. Feeling like I'm failing and just not being where I "should" be. Thank you for sharing. Points 6 and 7 really hit home. Thank you.

My program has a monthly support group. Each month there is a different topic. Last month, it was about high protein snacks and we tasted all of them. This month, it's about getting through plateaus. I absolutely love them! I go every month when I can.

Hi Natalie! There is a lot of support and wisdom here. I do not regret my decision for a moment. When I was going through pre-op, I was never convinced that I would go through with it but I'm glad I did.

Woot woot! I'm doing the happy dance with ya!

Goals for June: 1) Drink 64 oz of water each day 2) Try a new activity each week. 3) Stay under 1,000 calories. (Nervous about this one)

That's amazing!

Congrats on your approval. I agree with eating lean protein and veggies. My diet was to eat under 100 carbs a day. I think that's more liberal than most.

I have been giving my clothes away to Goodwill and my mother's church. I am now wearing my daughter's clothes and my neighbor gave me some clothes that she couldn't fit anymore. I have only been to the thrift store once. My weight loss is slower than most though.

Welcome back!

Welcome Jen! I was sleeved 2/18/15 and it was the best decision ever. I suffered from diabetes and was on insulin and oral medication. Now I am no longer on insulin and I am technically on 1 pill a day but my sugar is great without it. You will have great support here.
-
Awesome! I'm so glad you are doing well!
-
Joysie that's wonderful!!!

Your progress is absolutely amazing! Thanks for sharing it. It's inspiring!

I was sleeved on 2/18/15. You will find a lot of support here. Just sent you a friend request.

I'm almost 3 months post op. I sent you a request as well.

Welcome Jess! This is a great community and you will find a lot of support.

That's exactly it!! Just saying that I had wls minimizes all of the hard work I am doing! I will lead with my healthy lifestyle and then say I had surgery. To leave something out really does not give the full picture. I am actually uncomfortable with people complimenting me on my weight loss. I really wasn't expecting that.
-
Yay!! You are almost there! So exciting!

I HATE going out to eat now. I'm finished so much sooner than everyone else and like you, I wish I could still eat. People have been inviting me out to eat and I keep saying no. It's no fun for me. I kinda hope it stays this way though.

My bariatric nurse wants me to eat every 3 hours. I am to have 3 meals and 2 snacks, 3 if necessary. I think I would binge if I didn't incorporate snacks.
-
That makes sense. I made chicken soup and added extra protein powder and noticed that I felt uncomfortable when I ate it. Thanks!
-
Amazing. Thanks for sharing

I use Optisource and they have never given me a problem. I'm 2-1/2 months post op
-
So awesome! Great job!

I was sleeved on 2/18 and I stalled for a month! I know it's a part of the process but it's difficult to go through.
-
I'm wishing you well on your surgery tomorrow. You'll do great!

Nice!! Thanks!
