  • Baked salmon, seasonal veggies for the sides and a cup of water with lemon is usually my go to. Most restaurants i.e. Apple-bees, Ruby Tuesday, Longhorn, will usually have that as an option on the menu. Stay far away from teh salads and dressings! The calories in those are RIDICULOUS! Look them up, about 1000cals +!!!
  • If you can grab a drink when you're pissed, can you hit a workout instead? A good 20-30 minutes kickboxing video imagining knocking the cat stuffing out of someone makes me feel so much better. :smirk: After that I don't want anything to drink but water!
  • The hard days are hard. No lie. A few months ago I sat in my bed and binged on a box of chocolate. I was so upset with myself after I cried. I didn't want to log it. I had to sleep on it. I woke up the next day and blogged about it then said to myself, now what? I moved on. I was soooooo hurt. It felt so bad. I was angry…
  • I have very long days. I'm usually up by 6am. From 6a-6pm I may only have 400-500 calories between breakfast and lunch between 6p-12 midnight is when I usually have dinner and a snack which will usually be between 800-900cals because I'm cleaning, cooking and workout late. It works for me. About the same as jaynee but My…
  • I am PCOS among other things too. I hope you are under doctor's care. Since exercising isn't something you're used to try a 10-15 minute walking video. you can do it at home in your living room. Look at You tube Leslie Sansone walk off the pounds. And you really have to focus on logging. It gets easier over time Something…
  • Toes maybe? Kinda difficult for flip flops but I can just bury my feet in the sand. Maybe my nose, sea water isn't the best smelling anyway :mask:
  • My cat just steals underwear :hushed:
  • Wait? What? My cruise leaves on Sunday. I can't lose that last 10lbs before then???? :worried:
  • 39! Want to enter my 40s in the best shape ever! 19lbs to go!!
  • I know in NYC there a plenty of produce stands. Prices tend to be cheaper than the supermarket. Buy off brand. Whole wheat spaghetti and ground meat (chicken , beef or turkey). That goes a long way and freezes easily. Collard greens are also cheap and make big portions and freezes well too. Slow cooker chicken chili.…
  • Yep, I know what you're talking about. I have it to. but it's getting smaller as I lose. I have 19lbs to go before I reach the "healthy" range (I started obese) so I'm hoping with time and being the right weight for my height that it will go away. the stretch marks, not so much but they don't bother me nearly like they…
  • It's like that sometimes. I've been hovering at the same weight give or take 1/2lb for almost 3 weeks. I don't worry too much about it as long as the overall trend is that I am not gaining. Careful with the workout calories. I wouldn't eat them all back. No more than 75% just to give yourself cushion for overestimating.
  • Getting a food scale! I was very off eyeballing portions
  • It gets easier over time. I started by taking all the junk food out of my house and buying a lot of healthy snacks. After a while you get use to it and it gets harder to eat junk and wreck your progress
  • I started my journey almost exactly where you are. 5'2" about 220lbs. I'm currently 156, with 20lbs to go. I'm pretty active BUT I fuss at people who try to lose too much to fast and consume less than 1000 calories a day. So as long as you're about doing things healthy feel free to add me
  • Lunch leftovers at work I either stick in the fridge for lunch the next day or bring it home. Someone will eat it there! Dinner leftovers become lunch or dinner the next day. The one thing I like with my job is that if there is a tremendous amount of leftovers after a meeting they donate it to a domestic violence shelter a…
  • When I first started losing weight at 220lbs I figured getting to 150, which was around my college weight (20yrs ago) would be good but now at 156 I decided to shoot for what would be considered "healthy" for my height which is 136. Mainly because my body isn't the same as 20yrs ago before children. As I get to 145 & 140…
  • 5'2" SW for this challenge (3/4): 157.8 (3/12): 156.4 (3/19) 157.6 (3/26) 154.8 (3/31) 156.4 GW March 31: 150 UGW: 137 Funeral, hosted famil, sister came and spent a week and holidays so oh well but April will be better
  • Not seeing weight loss? If you don't see the weight loss here then you are missing the big picture!
  • How long have you had the Polar watch? Have you lost weight since you've had it? If so have you entered in your new stats. BIG BIG mistake I made with mine. It makes a difference. Last night I was spinning hard. I mean sustaining 15miles an hour at an 8 resistance for 55 minutes, 5 min warm up then 5 min cool down @ 12 mil…
  • Carnival has plenty of options and you can ask for things that are not specifically listed on the menu. For example when my 11year old doesn't want the dinner meals, she just asks for spaghetti and meatballs. never on the menu but they make it without a problem. But the ship carries a variety from night to night and day to…
  • I do a 10-15 minute exercise video on my lunch. I just find an empty office or unoccupied room and do it there. Enough for me to burn about 100cals but not be a hot sweaty mess.
  • I'm 5'2" 156lbs I'm a size US8 but I can get into some 6s if they run big. I have a very big bust so I carry most of my weight up top.
  • I'm leaving Sunday on a cruise. I never gain more than 5-6lbs (drinks-a lot of drinks!!!! :open_mouth: ) and it always come right back off but I try to walk as often as possible and I go to the gym on at-Sea days, and go to the dance club every night. Other than that I sit back with my pretty frozen drinks and enjoy the…
  • You are doing excellent. I know sometimes it's hard when you see people posting how they lost 100lbs in 9months. It can make you feel like you're doing something wrong. Losing weight at the rate you are you have a much better shot at keep it off. Congrats on that. If you lost 1 lb a month you'd still be 12lbs lighter than…
  • Get it out of the house!

  • I get a bit nervous too. My highest weight was 220lbs and weighing size 20 & 1x-2x now I'm 156lbs and wear a size 8 & M. Anything XL and up are gone and anything size 14 and up are gone. Not sure why I'm holding on to 12s, and 10s are just in case because I did put back 20lbs last year (it's off now) but I had them. once I…
  • I never pre-log because I change my mind too much but I always have my phone around so before bed I just sit down and finish my logging for the day. If I'm pre-paring dinner, I'm scanning the barcodes as I go along anyway
  • That sounds about right. I'm 5'2 156lbs currently and consuming about 1300 a day but I started at 220lbs. Stick with that number and be very diligent about weighing and measuring your food. Sometimes people say, well I'm eating healthy, look I had fish for dinner but if that's an 8oz piece of fried fish you may have just…
  • So what happens after 8 weeks? More than likely go on vacation forget this whole crash diet thing eat and eat and eat wake up one day and be heavier than you were before. The main issue has to do with genetics though. Since you can't spot reduce you'll lose weight trying to do what you are doing but it may not come off…
