I concur, I definitely miss seeing the updates and posts from friends. I kind of wonder why there's even a friend's list on here anymore. Very dumb move on MFP's part.

Sorry to hear you've been under the weather, I hope you feel better soon! I feel the same, I'm still logging on here daily but there's no life here anymore. It's a bit depressing. I'm on LoseIt, but it hasn't been a clean transition for me. The feel is different, the socials are different, and I don't like change - lol.

This app/site is so bland now. Definitely miss the interactions with friends and daily updates.

Yup, mines finally gone completely.

Still on my app but no longer on my desktop. Activity was dwindling the last few weeks, the heavy posters basically stopped. Really sad to see something that used to be a positive part of my day become trash...

Same, I have never been a "community" tab person here. I really prefer seeing my friends' goals and milestones in real time. Being able to congratulate wins and streaks as soon as I get on. That kind of support can be paramount to people who may be easily discouraged or frustrated. The support is literally RIGHT THERE when…

This, I'd be willing to pay for premium if the standard app/website wasn't a complete glitch-fest. Half of the time I see the stupid strawberry error page. So why would someone put up money on a questionably stable app?

I've boxed up most of my stuff to donate. I've kept a few things just to keep as reminders.

It's a great way of updating your friends about your progress, thoughts, pictures, exercises, and so on. Then the passiveness regarding streaks, workouts, weight losses - it a primary motivator for a lot of people and makes SUPPORTING friends easy (which I believe is ESSENTIAL for many peoples' journeys). I don't comment…

The newsfeed is the easiest way to see friends' progress and support one another.

Sorry to hear, I can relate to an extent. I used food as a coping mechanism whenever I got stressed and depressed. I would eat to the point of feeling so full it would be uncomfortable. It took a lot of mental shifts and retraining my stomach to make any progress. I sent you a FR.

Hey - your journey sounds a lot like mine. I started at 430, I'm down to 286 right now. It is possible, just keep working and trust the process. You got this! Sent you a request.

Down 130lbs.

36/m, currently down 130 lbs. Always happy to have more support and friends. Feel free to add me, let's get it done!

I ran into that issue with protein as well. I found oikos Greek yogurt has helped a lot, beef jerky, protein shakes, and chicken breast work the best for me. Best of luck to your journey, feel free to add if you're looking for friends.

Yes - I've been on a calorie deficit since I started and am doing a powerlifting program. I'm also the strongest I've literally ever been. You need to prioritize your protein intake to ensure the weight you lose is fat and not muscle. I shoot for 150-200 grams of protein per day. You can calculate your needs online by…

Normally for weight lifting (or general exercise) I'm wearing new balances. The exception is if I'm deadlifting, I will wear Chuck Taylors (but I prefer just being in socks tbh).

100% prefer the gym. When I walk through the door, I put my headphones on and go. The gym I go to has a very old school feel though. I wouldn't be able to go to a place like Planet Fitness or something and work out.

I'm getting my hands tattooed once I hit my goals. But I did buy some new tunnels for my ears that should be in today just as a small reward/motivator.
