  • Looks good. If those weights are working for you then keep with it. You'll be able to increase the weight and the reps/sets the longer you keep up the routine. I think someone already mentioned, if you only want to tone and not increase muscle mass (size of muscles) then I would stick with increased reps with lower…
  • I was at my College graduation yesterday and I teared up when the student association president proposed to his girlfriend right as she was on stage getting her diploma. It was super cute!
  • I typically drink between 2 and 3 liters everyday. Sometimes I add a crystal light packet, but mostly I just keep plain tap water in a 1L bottle in the fridge so its super cold.
  • I really like larabars, but they aren't protein bars exactly. They are all natural, and have very few ingredients (as in no preservatives!) and most have lots of nuts. But if you're looking to significantly increase your protein, I would go with something else.
  • Thanks for responding everybody, kirstinkrueger I really appreciate the information!! :)
  • It's really hard to get there, but once I'm outside walking/in the gym/ doing whatever I'm doing to work out I feel like I have so much MORE energy! That said, it's important to know your limits. Like people have already said, if you're a smaller person to start with you may have a tough time burning thousands of calories.…
  • I use soup or pasta sauce cans as weights. :) It's a pretty great, WAY cheaper alternative to weights.
  • All of these meals look fantastic!!! Such a great thread. :)
  • I've done that a few days, and I always eat some of the calories back, but not necessarily all of them. I would use this as a time to indulge in a few of the more calorie dense foods you wouldn't eat as much. Put some cheese in your sandwich, add a little hummus and crackers to a meal etc. It's important you not leave TOO…
  • This may or not be helpful, but recently I've been sticking with this mantra: we can't control our feelings but we can control our choices. I'm a big mindless eater and an emotional eater. I find taking satisfaction in having the self control to stop making bad choices one at a time gives me even more will power to keep…
  • Congratulations!! That must feel incredible! :)
  • Any time anyone asks about toning, I love to send them to this web page. Free workouts by some really great trainers on youtube! They have all kinds of workouts focusing on toning all of the different muscles in your body. http://www.youtube.com/user/ToneItUpcom Check it out!! :)
  • It could be the other way around too though, that it's easier to be thin if you have money and not necessarily that being overweight keeps you from getting a high paying job...
  • I don't have a hrm so I logged it as dancing - general.
  • These videos give you some really great moves to tone up your belly area/abs. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YXv9SBN8-Zw http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y6ZTzUEtPTI They would probably have a bicycle crunch or something similar in there too. Also, the other videos on the channel are really good! Not all ab related, but all…
  • I personally like anything fast, but a few of them have some pretty good lyrics too! Assassin - Muse Kemp - Millencolin Body Movin' - Beastie Boys When Love Takes Over - David Guetta ft. Kelly Rowland Don't Rain on My Parade - Glee Soundtrack Pizza Butt - MC Chris Break my Stride - Blue Lagoon I Believe I Can Fly - Me…
  • I think it really depends on you. Aiming for 19 is fine! If along the way you find that the way you thought you would look and feel at 125 is actually a different number, then just stay there. I personally feel that as long as you are being healthy (eating enough, not OVER exercising) and you're within your BMI nobody…
  • Have you tried different shoes?
  • I have to say, I completely agree that wearing a larger size that fits you better does make a HUGE, positive difference. That said, I personally find that the selection of clothing and even colours/patterns available to me in plus sized stores are not nearly as good as "regular" stores. The prices also suck. I also have…
  • You can't get rid of the fat in one spot, so doing cardio is important for overall weight loss. But you can tone the muscles underneath that will help get rid of lovehandles. Doing exercises that focus on the obliques like crunches that twist to the right and left or the side plank are good.
  • If nothing else, It's nice to know I'm not alone! :P
  • Congrats on the no coke diet!! That's something I have yet to do! Congrats on the 14 lbs too!!! :D Here's what I would suggest: 1) take before and after photos of yourself, nothing is more motivating than to see what you've already accomplished 2) Look at some of the success stories here on MFP, it makes staying on your…
  • and how many calories are these???
  • I'm doing week two, day two today and I really like it! I'm looking forward to making my way up to running. The first couple weeks don't burn a ton of calories though.

  • I was just thinking the same thing! It's fantastic :D I had a chicken shawarma for dinner and a slice of lemon meringue pie for dessert! I know its not the healthiest choice, but considering my net calories were under 1250, I was pretty freaking happy about it. :P
  • chocolate cake with chocolate icing! :)
  • Increasing your fiber and water intake will do your colon much more good than maple syrup and lemon juice will. I personally wouldn't bother.
  • This isn't a solution to keep them fresh, but rather something great to do with the ones that have already over-ripened. Once your bananas are reeally over-ripened you can unpeel them, chop them into little pieces and put them in a ziploc bag/container and freeze them. On a whim, simply take them out of the freezer, put…
  • Jagermeister and diet Dr. Pepper :)
