  • Here's my take... 100 pounds is a lot to lose, and it's going to take some time, perseverance and really sustained motivation. If this diet your friend wants you to do seems close to impossible now, then how hard is it going to be to keep with it for months and months? If it were me, I would tell your friend that you value…
  • I completely agree, this diet doesn't seem to have any factual basis that I can find.
  • I think there's too much variation in the activity level to be able to log it, unless you're wearing a HRM lol. I would sort of laugh at the database having all the different speed variations like they do for the treadmill or bike though... sex, missionary, 3mph Funny, but it just wouldn't work.
  • I'm currently 14-16 depending on where I'm shopping. I guess I'd like to be half that so around 6 or 8. :)
  • Quiche! Or Soup!
  • Here'a a few that I really like, i think they haven't been mentioned yet... I'm a Winner - Childish Gambino Don't Rain on My Parade - Glee Version YES - LMFAO When Love Takes Over - David Guetta Ft. Kelly Rowland Pizza Butt - MC Chris Walk It Out - DJ Unk I Just Want to Live - Good Charlotte Good Vibrations - Marky Mark…
  • For me, it was cheese. I used to put cheese on EVERYTHING, I knew it wasn't GOOD for you, but geez I didn't realize just how many calories was in such a little bit!

  • Have you been eating your exercise calories? What is your daily calorie goal? I know this might sound crazy, but increasing your calorie goal for the day by 200-300 calories might actually help you start losing. If you have tough workouts and aren't eating those calories back, you'll definitely not be getting enough…
  • Drink lots and lots of water, try doing a long relaxed walk and if after a couple days you're still feeling really uncomfortable, go to a clinic/dr,
  • I think it's important to eat your exercise calories, especially if your goal is 1200 calories. MFP tells you your NET calorie intake for the day as well, which can be dangerously low if you're working out and not eating extra. Net calories means calories eaten - calories burned from exercise and what you're left with is…
  • That's a great goal!! Good luck :)

  • It just means that you'll take longer than 5 weeks to reach your end goal. Whenever anyone clicks that button it tells them their possible weight loss in 5 weeks. You aren't expected to/supposed to lose all the weight you want in 5 weeks, but it's really great motivation to know that you're on track. Likewise, when you…
  • Nope! Because the calorie goal that is set for you by MFP already includes a deficit, technically speaking you should be able to not exercise at all and still lose weight using MFP... but then you won't be as fit or shapely :P Not eating your exercise calories can give you a really intense deficit, which can be a bad thing.
  • Ah, my boyfriend is the same way!! He ate TWO big macs for lunch earlier this week. I may not be huge on McDonalds, but I was still soooo jealous. I'm still trucking though, like someone already said being skinny doesn't make you healthy, and healthy is what I'm personally aiming for. That and looking super hot. :P Best of…
  • Awesome job!! :)
  • Maybe it isn't "real" binging that I'm doing, but what I'm trying to change is my habit of (for example) picking up a large bag of chips and a box of cookies and then eating the whole thing as fast as I can before anyone sees that they were even there. Maybe it would be more appropriate to say, I don't want to be a secret…
  • So I think I'm going to call last night a binge, I ate chocolate and cookies that didn't fit into my plan for the day, I ate WAYYYYY more crackers than I ever should and had a bunch of alcohol. (W diet soda though!!) Back to day one for me :(
  • I didn't, to be quite obvious. People there have LOST 30lbs in a week, they work them SO hard it doesn't make sense to me that they could have gained almost 10lbs each by accident. I was really really happy to see Dan (I think) smaller and really happy being with his daughter though :)
  • So day two was a success! Day 3 is a little tougher because I'm going drinking for a friends birthday, but I'm about to go to the gym to even it all out. Good luck to everyone else! :)
  • I actually really enjoyed going to Curves. The time that I was there I found it easy to motivate myself to go, I got strength training that I wouldn't normally and I definitely found my cardio endurance improved... This might sound funny, but I also like that mostly older women go there, its much less intimidating than…
  • So day two was fine, but I'm already 50 calories over today and seriously considering going a little crazy. :( Any advice?
  • Use that to motivate you! Every time you go to eat something that isn't bad for you, think to yourself "Would my teammates eat this? Is eating this going to help or hinder my team in winning?" It's really hard to get re-motivated when you've gotten yourself down, I've been really struggling with that lately myself, but let…
  • Day One was a Success! :) Day Two is cool so far
  • It's really tricky!! I was thinking of putting 1-2 hours of 2.0mph walking... I THINK that would be good, I mean it certainly isn't going to work to put in 4 hours of exercise, but overall I think it would add up.
  • It's a valid point, but I only have clinical twice a week and the rest of the week I attend lecture classes, it didn't seem right to be switching everything around every week.
  • I don't think there is a magic cure all, but generally keeping hydrated is good for your skin. Drinking water consistently and moisturizing your skin is always going to help. The only thing that I've heard of that works for getting rid of stretch marks is Bio Oil.
  • Thanks for all the support! :) I'd never heard of the 'BLAST' acronym before, but it does make a lot of sense. One thing I've really been focusing on is trying not to eat in secret... that was one of the things that I did a lot that contributed to me gaining all this weight in the first place and I think if I get that…
  • I think I need to get back in the habit of doing that, lately I've just not been logging certain days so I don't have to see that red minus sign!! *sigh* I'm off to write down my over indulgences for the day right now.
