Oral B12 supplements are generally not well absorbed. It would be much better to talk to your doctor about getting monthly B12 injections. They are well worth the pinch :)

I hate bottled water, its environmentally disastrous and I get good quality water out of my tap for free. Why pay for bottled water that's the exact same quality??? (If not worse due to sitting stagnant in a plastic bottle for a year or more depending)

That link IS wonderful!! Thank you for posting :)

To actually get rid of the fat, you just need to keep up with cardio and calorie restriction to lower your body fat %. That said, you can definitely work on toning your abs in a number of ways. Yoga, pilates, and zumba are all good ways to tone. I also really like this youtube page, it has AWESOME toning workouts and…

I would find the motivation to clean my ENTIRE home from top to bottom, not a dust spec to be found. Then celebrate with shopping. :D

I'm now 222.3 again :'( I fell off the wagon and I went on vacation... ack!

Exercise! That'll give you extra calories.

1. What does a healthy lifestyle mean to you? Living in a way that promotes me living longer, preventing chronic disease and generally feeling well and having energy. For me that means keeping my body in good cardiovascular shape, keeping my muscles strong and keeping my body energized with good food. 2. Why is a healthy…

Okay this will be one hell of a challenge, but that's the point right?? I'll do my best!

I understand you didn't intend this to be a dig, but it really does sound that way. I've got really big arms too and I'm hoping that I, along with everyone else who wants to has "the option" (thanks to hard work) to achieve thin/toned arms. I didn't find this motivating at all, quite the opposite in fact. :(

Previous weight: 222.5 This week's weight: 219.9 So that's 2.6 loss! :)

That is frustrating, I'm sure. In my experience, all people are doing when they make comments like that is trying to belittle the other person's efforts and make themselves feel better. I can only assume that's the same reason your family is doing it. Not on purpose, but as a result of feeling threatened or insecure. (Now…

Gatorade and juice I wouldn't count as water, but I log crystal light in my diary and track it as water. There is a bit of sodium in a packet, but considering I dilute it in a liter of water, I don't think it has much of an impact. I would still try to get in as much "real" plain water as you can though.

So far so good, I'm down .8 of a pound as of this morning. I haven't cheated... yet! :)

I have "fat" days, for sure. I find if I'm in a generally sucky mood then I tend to feel sucky about myself as well, regardless of how much I actually way or how i look.

This site is a great help!! As far as the chocolate goes, I'm right there with you. It can be difficult, but having support here and being mindful of what you're doing it for really helps. :) Feel free to add me as a friend if you'd like!

bjohs is completely right!! Think about it, one brand/store cuts all of their tops the EXACT same way! People aren't cookie cutters, it only stands to reason that the MAJORITY of people buying clothes don't find they fit properly. I have problems like that, if pants fit my thighs they're too big for my waist and fall down,…

I PM'd you with my start weight already, but its 222.5! :D I'm hoping/trying/working on losing 20lbs in those 10 weeks! :D If I could lose 23 that would be even better. Hello Onederland?? :D Good luck everybody!!

I'm assuming because it burns very minimal calories.

Too bad there's a prize. I would have loved to join, but I live in Canada. Have fun everybody!

You don't want to gain REAL weight that you're going to have to work off. While I don't really agree with that idea, I would suggest chugging a bunch of water.
-
Not everyone wants or can afford a HRM. I agree with the high impact aerobics being a good way to log it.

If weight loss isn't your goal, cardio shouldn't be as much of a focus as strength training.

I usually try to drink between 2-3.5 liters of water per day. I've heard a lot that drinking half your weight in oz. of water is considered healthy. So i currently weigh approx. 220 lbs, I aim for 110oz. I have a 1 liter water bottle, I should be drinking 3 full bottles + 2ish glasses. Just to let you know 1 liter of water…

I'm 5'10" and my goal weight is approx. 150.

It looks like you are eating really well! If you want to eat up some of those exercise calories try eating some still healthy but more calorie dense foods. Examples being avocado, almonds, larabars are all natural energy bars that have a lot of dried fruit and nuts. Adding a couple of things like that throughout the day…
