Any nut butter should help boost your calories, so long as you have no allergy to it. Some peanut or almond butter would go marvelously with the apple you had. Also, when it comes to dairy (I saw the yogurt you had today), stick with full fat versions for the extra calories.

Definitely salty. I have about 5 huge chocolate bars from Trader Joe's that I haven't touched in months, but a bag of chips will only last a week (at most) in my household.

I started at a weight very close to yours and my goal is also 160. I've been on MFP since August of 2012, but have been working on losing the weight since May of that same year. I'm of the mindset of slow and steady, since the ultimate goal is not to GET to 160, but to MAINTAIN. And life happens. You may lose 3 pounds one…

Boobs and waist first. Last to go is thighs/hips/butt. Quite frustrating to be a size S on top and a size L on bottom. No straight cut dresses for me. :(

Well, I guess those 3 tbsp of peanut butter I eat almost daily is going to be the end of me. Also, what if you're trying to up your fat to meet macros? Fat isn't the enemy, no matter how much the 90s wants us to believe.

Mine is open and always logged--for better or worse.

When I was at my heaviest I didn't think I looked that big. 80 pounds down, and now when I look in the mirror I feel like I look huge. *SMH*

I usually eat anywhere between 5-6 tablespoons of the stuff a day (Kirkland natural). So...yeah, if you can make it fit into your calorie goals, it's definitely worth it.

I now have the urge to watch this movie. I don't care that's it's not October!
-
I'm an inch taller than you and a couple pounds heavier, but my job is far more sedentary than yours--and I eat more than 1650 NET. I don't know how many pounds per week to lose you have set, but considering you only have about 8 pounds to go, I would go for half a pound. As for snacks, nothing wrong with having one (or…

Chips and now peanut butter.

Bumping for the pumpkin alternative! Can never have too much pumpkin. :D

I always run with music. It gets annoying listening to the sounds of the treadmill.

This. I've lived in GA practically my whole life. Snow isn't too much to handle, but ice? Not dealing with that crap.
-
I've been doing 16:8 since the end of last year. It works great for me, much to my surprise. MUCH easier to stay under my calorie goal this way.
-
I...the...what? Jesus, the things people will do BESIDES cut their portion sizes and move around more. SMH.

Truth.

I can't have anything in my stomach before a work out session. I used to have a pre-workout snack, when I was working out after work, but I always felt shaky and a little sick during my run. That being said, do what works for you!
-
Diary is open. :) Feel free to add.

^^^ THIS. If you eat over maintenance, regardless of whether you're doing IFor not, you're going to gain weight. (I do 16:8, and yes, I still log everything I eat.)
-
Because you're making up for eating a lower number of calories later in the week. For example, yes, you might only eat 500 calories for 1-2 days, but you're supposed to be eating maintenance the other 5 days of the week. Or that's how I've read how 5:2 is supposed to work.

I'm the same, OP. I was always starving after eating breakfast (and that was even after switching to a very high protein/fat one of plain greek yogurt and hard boiled eggs). Now I don't eat till noon and feel MUCH better for it. Obviously it doesn't work for everyone, as seen by others posts. So if it works for you, keep…

Going for a run tends to curb my appetite for a few hours--and I burn calories doing it! Best of both worlds.
-
As someone who doesn't eat breakfast AND eats most of her calories right before bed AND is still losing weight, I think I'm going to have to call BS on this.
-
I second this. Especially true if you eat a full fat version.
-
AMEN!!!
-
I don't think I could do it. I like my dirty, dirty chips and other "junk" too much to ever cut them out completely. But more power to the people who can stick with it!

For strength training I know rest days are essential, because that's when the repairing of muscles happens. For cardio...I'm pretty sure (but not 100%) that you can go everyday if you want. Personally, I take a day or two off, depending on how much my body is telling me it needs the rest.

THIS. Their roasted red pepper is pretty good too--that's what I'm having now with my wraps. They also have a roasted garlic flavor, but I haven't tried it yet.
