  • I've got an account but haven't used it yet. I'm working on getting set up in the basement and want to get a new trainer that can "talk" to Zwift. I should be set up within a couple weeks. I'm hoping it makes riding the trainer less boring.
  • Hi. I just upgraded from a One to a Charge HR. Add me: https://www.fitbit.com/user/227QF9
  • Well, I've got some catching up to do. I signed up late for the challenge then promptly went out of town on business. I did manage to get 9 miles in before I left. I'll be home Friday so I'm planning to ride everyday to beat the goal!
  • Hi. I'm Bob, and I guess I'm pretty late to the challenge but I'm going to give it a go. I love riding. Well, I love riding outdoors, that is. Riding the trainer? Eh. Not so much. Okay, truth be told, I sort of hate the trainer. This challenge will hopefully give me the kick in the pants I need to really stick with the…
  • Bumping so I can save the thread. Great info here. Thanks, vismal, for all the time you spend here answering questions!
  • I own a GoPro and a bunch of accessories, for use in my work, but plan to buy a Virb to hang off the bike. But it's higher def, if you really need it, and does higher frame rates which makes…
  • Hi, Michelle, Good luck with the new job. (Overnight ER in Vegas must be ... ah, interesting!). Making slow changes definitely seems to be the way to go. Otherwise, it's just to darned hard to maintain more than a couple weeks.
  • I'm trying to be low carb -- or at least low net carb -- and occasionally I'm even successful. But's there's been a learning curve to figure out all the weird places carbs hide, and how many there really are in various foods. ("There are HOW MANY carbs in this little thing I just ate?!??!") Feel free to add me as a friend…
  • I did WW probably 10 years ago and, while it worked, I was starving most of the time. And, of course, the weight crept back on. I've changed my eating habits — well, most of them, anyway — to a paleo diet or something close to it. If I can finally kill my sweet tooth, I should be able to do this and not starve. Or at least…
  • If you have the money, you might consider getting a power meter. They're coming down in price and will give you the most accurate look at the numbers. Check out dcrainmaker.com for some current reviews. A cheaper though less accurate alternative would be to use Strava to measure your ride. Its algorithms for calorie burn…
