I have the same issue. Have you found any answers?

Whatever issues you have with your son, and however active he is- has no bearing on the OP's question, which was what to feed HER son. And when you suggested she feed him cereal and waffles, you didn't specify whole grain options, leaving the reader to assume you were referring to- waffles with syrup, and sugary cereals.…

I looked at your diary. 3 things I would tweak are 1. Start tracking your salt and sugar. 2. Your diet has allot of good stuff in there! But cut out some of that processed stuff. Make your own pizza. Ditch the candy and chocolate milk, use rice milk instead. Switch up your snacks to be nuts, fruits, etc instead of…

Open that diary! When you feel like giving up just remember all the reasons you decided to make the change. KEEP doing this. You WILL see results and you will be so damn happy and proud that you perservered when you DO see that initial loss. Trust me. We have ALL felt like giving up- If you give up what's the alternative-…

it sounds like you have gotten alot of great advice here, the only thing I can comment on is your plan for a bagel half with spread- that's not what I meant- keep your lunch the same. Keep eating the lunch meant (you need the protien!) But you don't need that ,many calories from that bagel so substitute half of that bagel,…

ok, so you have cut your sugar way down, that is great! After you get used to this amount, cut it down again. It took two full weeks of intense cravings, but I did not give in- and they finally went away. I used to be mad for candy, too. To those of you telling her to find a new dietician- its not as simple as that. The…

one more thing I noticed is you take an probiotic drink every day- these are loaded with sugar and don't have the benefits of dairy, like calcium or vit D. Consider taking tablet form probiotics, and replace the sugary drink with a piece of fruit, etc. Also there are alot of processed sweets- doughnuts, candies, energy…

Has she even looked at your food diary? I've looked at your diary and I can see that your calories are all over the place: 600 calories for lunch, 100 cals for dinner? Then another day you had a low calorie lunch and a high calorie dinner. Try to be more balanced. Also you eat alot of processed high sodium foods like ready…

Think you should visit the Dr for this. You might need physical therapy if you injured it. Could be a strain, in which the RICE is great advice. If it hurts severely, you could have a small tear in the muscle. I doubt you have DVT but only a DR could tell you that. No disrespect- but I have never heard of a doctor who…

not sure. Is is hot, or just warm. Cold hands or not- hot or swollen is a bad sign. Is it deep in the calf? Do you have risk factors for DVT?
-
is there ANY swelling, redness or warmth in the calf or ankle / foot?
-
just because someone finds a way to loose weight by not eating a few days out of the week doesn't make it healthy.

beautiful.

Honey, I am SO sorry. I will pray for you. I will put you on my Church prayer list, too. I believe evil is in the works, too. I am sending you a private message. Pray dear, and confess your sins so that your prayers will be heard. Pray for healing for all. And get your mom to Church. I know you want to walk away, but your…

I don't want to sound critical- but some of these responses are surprising. Waffles? Sugary Cereal? We don't want to teach our kids the same habits we learned.

what a fantastic idea! Having no children, I can't offer any advice other than what was already given. My MIL raised 3 boys- all being near the same age, they hit the hungry years all at the same time, they had high metabolisms and were tall. Despite eating nearly all waking hours, were still rail thin! She never stood a…

without getting into the science of it, I thought we were all here to adopt healthier eating habits, and a healthy attitude towards food in general. I don't cheat, because no food is forbidden. If I want it, I eat it- I don't have to starve myself all week to do so. I eat whatever I want in moderation. Why do you have to…

I haven't been here long, and I don't have a ton of friends- but the ones I have are very supportive, encouraging, and they do notice my progress. It takes allot of effort. And they have never met me in real life. I really appreciate that. I think people want to know 1. you are here for similiar reasons, and 2. You are…

Congratulations! And your goals seem very well thought out and prepared. I wish you every success!

how romatic

you should let common sense prevail on this one.

Will try a suppliment. I AM LOW on vit D, have been taking the 50K once a week for years. Thanks everyone. PS almond milk gives me diareah every time. Soy milk gives me gas. Not trying to shoot down any ones responses- and not trying to be a picky eater- I really really appreciate all the advice and info!

Today is my weigh in. 156.8.

Has any one told you you look like Gilda Radner, or are you too young to know who she is?
-
Ha ha. Sorry you don't undesrtand. I don't understand it myself! I just can't eat it. It grosses me out. It always has. As a child I could eat cereal but I would never drink the milk out of the bowl. I just don't like it. Same as some people don't like onions, or liver. Or liver and onions! I've tried to like it- honestly.…

If it is caused by a drop in blood pressure, try this when getting up, get up slowly, keeping your chin tucked in, and rolling your body up slowly. Untuck your chin and straighten you head last. This should decrease the 'swing' and ease dizziness.
