No shirt, no problem

I'm an emotional binge eater. Something that I have found useful is literally saying, "I don't emotional eat" out loud when I'm about to. Hearing it helps me. I also keep a water bottle next to me at all times. It gives me something to reach for when stressed (which is often). Add me if you want another support person.…

Add me! Let's do this 💪

I went to urgent care because my neck and back locked up (happens occasionally after a car accident). I went in hoping for relief. I had just had a physical and had tipped the scales at the highest weight yet. When I got there my heart was racing, presumably from pain. But given my weight and symptoms they started to do…

I no longer pull my seatbelt out all the way when I get in the car

I'm back after a year- and although I kept the 40 off, I still have a long way to go. Please add me (anyone)!

Feel free to add me as a friend. Nothing motivates me more than seeing other's success on my timeline and wanting to cheer them on (and they cheer you on in return).

If I don't go before work I've found I don't go. So I'm at the gym by 5:30am at least 4 days a week. That was quite the adjustment for this non-morning person.

I was so nervous and self conscious to go to the gym that it took me a month to actually set foot in there after I got my membership. What I learned is: No one was looking at me. No one even noticed me until I started saying "Good morning" to people. I still get self conscious some days, but I think that everyone is…

OP: What an awful experience. I've had a few of my own that have cut me to the core. Keep working toward your goals, you are doing great- and you have a whole host of people that have your back!

Thank you for sharing. This is exactly what I needed to read today.

One of my family's favorite stories is we were at a Friday Night Fish Fry at the local VFW (its a Wisconsin thing) and the nice lady serving us asked a 3 year old me if I knew what VFW stood for. I come from a military family so I did, and I proudly announced "Veterans of Foreign (insert old timey word for someone that…

You got this- Welcome to MFP. This has seriously been my motivator. Please add me (it will be nice to have another funny person- sometimes you need a break from the super sappy :open_mouth: ).

Something I have used to keep me from skipping the gym is changing the phrasing I use. For example, instead of saying to myself "I can't skip the gym" I now say "I don't skip the gym". I also figured out that despite the fact that I HATE mornings I have to work out first thing. And on especially hard days, when that alarm…

Me - Add me

Something I always have ready to go in my fridge is baby spinach, sliced red grapes, and shredded chicken breast. Its nice to be able to easily toss together a salad when I'm on the run. Because of the grapes I don't need any dressing either.

34- and still look around for "adultier adults" in many situations... I've been here off and on for a few years but have been holding steady for about a month and have really kicked into high gear. Would love other motivated young(ish) people to connect with. Add me :)

Please don't feel hopeless. You actually are already taking a step. You are logging in. So good for you! Pick an attainable next step- even if it is just logging your breakfast. Give yourself a few victories to help you want to do more. I added in something each week when I started, and they were things I could do. Giving…

I've taught myself to stop looking at the clock/time- the machine will tell me when I'm done. Instead I try and beat calories or distance that I did previously. I also like to make up backstories for the other people working out in the gym (in my head). And good music... something with a driving beat.

Good luck! You've got this!

I'm in, I recently fell of the wagon and could use some help being accountable to get back on track.

I appreciate the number of people that are reinforcing starting with the habit of logging. I'm someone who has done the start and stop dance a few times. I've also done the ooh look I've started losing weight so I can skip a day of logging dance as well. None of these have turned out well for me, I go right back to being a…
