I did it earlier this year. Started a couple of weeks after starting MFP and really glad I did. Lost lbs and inches and could really see a difference which was amazing motivation (top tip: make sure you take 'before' photos to compare!). I actually started it again today but just going to do 3 days a week instead of every…

I've been doing the Nerd Fitness beginner body weight workout 3 times a week for the last few weeks and I think it's great and very easy to do at home http://www.nerdfitness.com/blog/2009/12/09/beginner-body-weight-workout-burn-fat-build-muscle/

It's made me enjoy my food a lot more especially when I have treats. Last night I made 20g of chocolate last over an hour because I was really savouring it and taking the time to enjoy it. On the downside though it has made me quite obsessive about calories, food and exercise. I think about it far too often a d it can be…

You look fabulous - congratulations :)

OP - you look incredible and are a massive inspiration. I'm looking to get NROLFW, join a gym and hire a trainer to help me start out but I am definitely nervous about doing it!

A few of my faves: - M&S chocolate eclairs @ 30kcal each (talking about toffees not pastries!) - Mini Jelly Babies @ 70kcal bag (I think) - Curly Wurly @ 115kcal - Garbanzo roasted chickpeas (available in sweet chilli and Bombay firecracker flavours) @ 88kcal a bag - from Holland and Barrett - Graze boxes - Popcorn -…

I'm sure they'll get over it

Good for you for finding that determination and not giving up. I'm 100% behind you doing it the right way. And don't be too disheartened about slow loss - you're a healthy weight already (and you look great in your profile pic!) so it's bound to take a bit longer to see the movement you want x

I'm a sucker for a pot of low fat ambrosia custard warmed in a pan with sliced banana and a generous sprinkle of cinnamon. Serve with 1 amaretti biscuit crumbled over the top. It comes in around 200 calories but does include a banana which makes me feel better about it and it makes for an incredibly satisfying thick creamy…

I have a pair of bootcuts in the next size down that I try every now and then - they're getting there. It's amazing how much of a step there is between sizes though (mine are same brand as ones I can't wear anymore they're so big!)

Thanks all :) and to the ladies with the same goal - it'll happen and when it does you'll feel awesome! :)

"Processed meat refers to meat that has been preserved by smoking, curing, salting or adding preservatives. Examples include ham, bacon, pastrami and salami, as well as hot dogs and some sausages. Hamburgers and minced meats only count as processed meat if they have been preserved with salt or chemical additives."…

Red chard Radicchio/red chicory/red endive Rhubarb (if people can say tomatoes and peppers which are fruits eaten as veg, I'm saying rhubarb which is veg eaten as fruit! ;) )

I use the recipe builder and then weigh the final quantity of what I've made and then set the portions so each is 100g. Then I weigh my portion and enter e.g 2.5 portions if I'm having 250g. I always update the recipes when I make the same thing again as often the quantities of ingredients will change a bit and in previous…

I don't use fit bit myself but my understanding is that it's tracking your total burned calories for the day whether you're just going about your daily routine, sitting down, or exercising. It sounds like MFP understands this so it offsets the whole lot against your calories consumed. However the standard way that MFP…

I go for a brisk 40-55 minute walk a bit after eating lunch. I've done it pretty much every working day this year (even when it was snowing). I love having that time to myself outside to break up the day. If I have a lot of work on I come in early or stay late rather than miss my lunchtime walk when it's actually light…

This week marked 6 wonderful years with my amazing man, so we went for lunch at a restaurant with 3 Michelin stars (Alain Ducasse at the Dorchester in London). Yummy little savoury choux pastries, amuse bouche, bread, starter, main, dessert (1.5 as they gave us a free one), petits fours, coffee and a glass of wine. Have…

Start off staying under your calories eating what you want to eat. If you're anything like me after a couple of weeks you'll automatically be choosing healthier foods because they fill you up/make you feel better. You may even find you want to eat vegetables, but don't worry about it too much straight away - take it one…

Hey, just wondering how you know this? Site not updated that far! I had my £50 Polar H7 arrive today - haven't even opened it and wondering if I should hold off but would like to check specs. Thanks!

I used to be dreadful at after dinner snacking but have got a pretty good handle on it by: a) going for a walk shortly after dinner. This usually ends up being between 30 mins and 1 hour - it takes me away from the ability to snack, but also earns me a few calories so I can have a little something when I get back if I…

*laughs* Hey, Americans, this is flapjack when a Brit is asking! OP - I don't have an answer for you I'm afraid, but assumed you weren't after pancake recipes!

I'm in an affluent area of London (England) and I'd say it's pretty abnormal.

I like heating up some sliced banana with low fat custard, stirring in some ground cinnamon and topping with a crumbled amaretti biscuit. Makes a lovely rich, creamy proper pudding! Calories will depend on amount of banana and custard!

Wimbledon here! :)

I definitely noticed feeling thirst more when I started drinking more water. Before that I was just really bad at keeping myself hydrated at all having maybe 2 or 3 drinks a day - now I'm on 9 or 10 when you include water plus any tea/coffee/other!
