I converted my over-spending money and pasta addiction into martial arts and more responsibilities at work...different drug same effect.

You should not be so hard on yourself because 20lbs is nothing at all. Lots of people here are struggling with 100+ to loose. Loosing weight is a slow process and it takes patience AND time. I suggest listing all the things you enjoy doing and list them. For example, shopping burns calories and so does cutting grass or a…

mcgiffertmia, It's not hard to lose weight, but rather training your mind and keeping the routine will be the hardest part. You will see, once you start tracking your progress in MFP, that the weigh will start dropping like crazy. It's going to take time and patience and some tweaking but it can be done. You can do it!

It works and take it slow

Forget the gym. Buy yourself a good pair of walking shoes and go out walking for 30-60 minutes.
-
personally I think they're both off. I'd go with what's on your machine because it will include work done to climb those inclines, and distance measurements.

Stop eating empty calories. That's your problem. Your body keeps wanting more and more because what you're feeding it is not what it needs. http://www.choosemyplate.gov/weight-management-calories/calories/empty-calories.html

Congratulations on your weight loss goals. You were beautiful before and after the loss.

You did a great job, and your devil dog husband, thank you for your service to our country.

I really envy your progress. I'd like to be the one someday to post that onto this board. I am also in search of a 115 lb loss. You're right, you do not have to starve yourself. Just eat good calories, not empty calories. I try to do some activities nightly, but with 2 kids it's hard some nights. But when I do , I really…

It all depends on what you want, and why you want to loose the weight. We can help motivate you to achieve your goals and make it fun. You just have to be willing to do it, with us pushing you a little too.

I have not been starving myself. I just started watching my portion sizes and counting calories in my log in MFP. I also added in a nightly walk of 60 minutes, dedicated ME time at 10pm. At 10pm I can do whatever it is, walk, skate, run. I just have to stay outside for an hour.

OK that makes more sense. Thanks for the support
-
That's a good point.
-
yes I am using MFP to track my food in my diary.
-
you're doing very good. You must feel like you can breathe better now too.
-
2 stones? Is that like 2 diamonds? HAHA We'll give you motivation. I also have kids too.
-
I just started but it's really easy to loose weight. You don't have to starve yourself, but just track your calories. Then soon the pounds will start to go down. Throw in a 40 minute walk with your finance' and it should be very easy.
