I've reluctantly accepted that knee going beyond the toe doesn't equal the end of the world lol. My thoughts on that, and going bellow parallel, are that they are not going to cause damage on their own, but poor form is potentially more dangerous while in that portion of the movement.

personally I feel that push ups do a much better job of working my whole chest and I tend to 'feel the burn' more unilaterally throughout the muscle. but if you're looking to put mass on, 'feeling a burn' isn't exactly necessary

I second that. I (unfortunately) store way more fat in my chest then any man has business doing. So I actually start seeing definition in my abs when, by other standards, I'm still kinda out of shape.

absolutely. I guess i'll use all those greek statues as evidence. this is off topic but I've used it for years. I'm a big proponent of making it perfectly legal, but I really don't see any legitimate medical use for it, other then to increase appetite in cancer patients... or any other group that has difficulty consuming adequate nutrition due to some medical reason.
