I got a Polar Loop for Christmas. It tracks your daily activity (high intensity, mid-level intensity, and low intensity activities) which you set a goal for (level 1, 2, and 3), it tells you to move when you have been inactive for more than an hour (not including when your sleeping), and also tracks steps, calories, and…

Looking for some encouraging friends! 24 (almost 25!) Newlywed 5'10" (5'11" if I get a lot of sleep) 180lbs GW 160lbs I've been on MFP off and on since 2011, though I got serious about my weight loss in the beginning of 2013. Lost over 40lbs., though over the past few months I lost focus due to moving, getting…

During setup it asks if you wear it on your right or left wrist. I figured some arm movement would be misconstrued as steps, but it just seemed kind of high. I apparently took 200+ steps in my sleep lol

Don't you mean death BACONS???

Start: 5'10" 210lbs 38D Now: 5'10" 170.8lbs 36DD

:noway: :noway: :noway: No, no, no! Do not "just keep going"! I made that mistake and had shin splints for nearly a week. I could hardly walk, and actually had to call in sick to work because I knew being on my feet all day was going to be pure torture. While "running shin splints out" works for some people, I would say…

Like DemoraFairy said, not losing weight for 2 weeks really isn't much to worry about, you may just be stalling for a bit. It happens to everyone (just not everyone notices it happen, and some don't care.) Though, judging by your gender, age (got those from your profile), height, and activity level, you probably should be…

Been poking my nose around this thread for a little while. Thought I'd check in :) Finished W3D1 of C210K yesterday, W3D2 is tomorrow. I graduated C25K back in May 2013... So glad I decided to start running again.

I think it varies from person to person. I've gone down half a size, but I have narrow feet to begin with. My fiance's roommate went down a size and a half.

Not a problem. When I first started, I looked for all the help I could get. Not all of the advice I got was good, some of it was just plain backwards and could have seriously injured me in one way or another if I followed it. :grumble: However, there have been plenty of gold nuggets of information I've been given or have…

That was just one solution that I could think of. I couldn't tell where your carb levels were at since your diary is private. How many carbs do you let yourself eat? Do you know the percentages you have your stuff set to? It couldn't hurt to up your water intake a bit. Perhaps try that before completely cutting down on…

^^^Agreed about MFP setting protein goals too low. I've "drastically" increased my protein intake and haven't had any of this ammonia smell you're talking about. You probably aren't taking in enough carbohydrates. When you have a carbohydrate deficiency, your body will then start to metabolize protein in its place. It's…

I second this motion! All in favor, say "aye"!

^^^THIS. Sounds like a win-win solution to me.

...Does she have a hole in her lip? How is she such a messy eater?

I believe it's mainly because people diet instead of adopt a new fitness lifestyle and develop a healthier relationship with food, or they develop habits that they cannot maintain long-term. (I'm sure that's been said many times already.)

Do you feel like you're not eating enough? Literally, do you have a lack of energy, feel light headed, etc? Like WBB55 said, since you do have a larger amount of weight to lose, being at a larger deficit is not a bad thing for you. However, you could eat anywhere between what MFP has you at and just below your TDEE and…

The majority of my weight loss is from an improved diet (and calorie deficit) and running. I used to hate running, because of PE teachers always telling me that I should be able to run faster since I have long legs. Years later, after PE was out of my life, I met my now fiance who loves to run. Last year in January when I…

THIS is the post I've been needing to see. I started lifting in December, and have been getting REALLY frustrated. Even though I could tell I was getting stronger and seeing muscle definition in my arms and legs, and my clothes were fitting the same, I was gaining weight (not something you want to see after losing 40lbs.)…

Hi all! I'm Laura, 24, live in the SF Bay Area in California. I've been browsing the boards in the group for a little while as I'd just started getting into running again. I did C25K last year, and ran my first (and unfortunately only) 5K last year in March. I did MUCH better than I expected - 32 minutes! Then between…

Depends on the person. Now that I'm eating more protein and not drinking all of my calories, I'm actually having a hard time hitting my calorie goal. It's a personal challenge every day to eat up to my goal. :drinker:

I've lost 40, but I went from a 38D to a 36DD. Keep in mind that a C cup on a 32C bra is smaller than a C cup on a 38C bra, not just the band size. So, really I lost in band size and stayed the same in terms of the size of my tatas.

This is the inspiration I needed! I've just started getting serious the past two weeks about strength training (still using machines while I read about free weights - I'm terrified to do them, especially since I don't have a gym buddy to keep me from hurting myself.) Obviously I'm not going to see results now, but I'm…

I'd like to be at my goal weight by March (3 months to lose 10lbs seems like plenty of time), and then to maintain weight while losing body fat and gaining muscle (aka - tone and strengthen). Run another 5K (or several). Be able to do REAL push ups.

Last year my mom gave me a Tweety Bird sweatshirt. It was fuzzy and warm, and I would have loved it if I were 10...
