  • I use the handicapped stall, because my 3yo always drags me into it when she has to go (it also fits the stroller when we are out and about). I don't usually leave the house if I'm having a blow out day. That's just asking for trouble.
  • eating usually suppresses my hunger.
  • I don't have Wii Zumba, but I have taken zumba classes. I can't dance to save my life, so I just run around & jump a lot. My knee gets kinda grumpy at me.
  • We live in a mobile home park where pets are not allowed. That said, we've buried 5 gerbils under our house.
  • low carb typically works well with high fat (avocado, salmon, coconut, EVOO, you get the idea, right?), and moderate protein. Feel free to check out my diary. I follow a Primal/Paleo lifestyle that has a natural tendency to be lower carb b/c it cuts out fillers such as grain, soy, and legumes.
  • try cutting back carbs to 100g or less for a few weeks & keep eating clean. You're doing great!
  • My feet rub badly in my brooks running shoes. Would these socks help with that problem?
  • I discovered that in order to survive C25K, I have to jog really slow. I "run" on a 4.5 on the treadmill. I can walk on a 4, sustain a 4.2 jog all day, and run on 4.5. When I've done 5k's, I average 5 mph. You have to do what works for you while still stretching your limits. This is how you grow.
  • Vegetables. start religiously reading labels if you don't already, you will learn very quickly :)

  • As long as you're working with a health care professional, it's not really any one else's business what one eats ;)
  • I follow the Primal Blueprint which tends to be lower carb since grains, legumes, and soy are not allowed on the lifestyle. I'm also T2 diabetic, so LC has been really helping my numbers. I've been insulin & metformin free since going Primal in January! My diary is public if you're curious. I'm not saying it's the right…

  • Props to you for being a rockstar mommy! I think at this age, it's mainly a comfort thing. I have a 3yo and she only BF for maybe 2 months. I don't know what happened, but she would try to latch on & then just scream. Within a week her weight loss was noticeable, and I had to put her on formula. I was envious and secretly…
  • coconut milk. Not the stuff you find with the dairy, but the canned stuff like Thai Kitchen & Native Forest. NF is my fave. I can drink it straight up when it's cold. It's loaded with healthy fat & should help keep you satisfied.
  • buy in season fruits & veggies (they're cheaper), learn to coupon & become coupon ninja, stock up on frozen veggies when on sale (they're just as good, be sure to check ingredient labels), stock up on meat whenever you can, become friends with local farmers and trade with them (maybe you can spend a day working on the farm…
  • blueberry butter balls INGREDIENTS: 1 cup butter, unsalted 1/2 cup blueberries 2 egg yolks 3 T shredded coconut, unsweetened 1T vanilla DIRECTIONS: let the butter sit out until soft. puree your blueberries in a food processor. if they are frozen, defrost them first otherwise they'll give you all kinds of issues when you…
  • if it's doesn't have a mom or come from the earth, don't eat it. Sounds like you're on the right path! :)
  • I would just hit up a glass of water. There's no harm in intermittent fasting!
  • I follow the Primal Blueprint lifestyle which tends to be lower carb (not on purpose, just by default. It's pretty clean eating, since all grains, soy, and legumes are cut out). Feel free to check out my diary. also look into: http://www.marksdailyapple.com/the-primal-carbohydrate-continuum/
  • actually, the vanilla creme liquid stevia in my fridge is pretty fantastic. advice: cut out sugar. You tastebuds will adjust. Fruit will start tasting like a saccharine-laden milky way!
  • I believe ketosis is achieved on a low carb diet (about 50g/day). Check out this link for more info: http://www.marksdailyapple.com/dear-mark-ketosis/
  • I follow the Primal Blueprint, which tends to be lower carb. Feel free to check out my diary. Warning: Yesterday was a baaaaad example.
  • Actually I think you burn more in cold weather, cuz your body is already working overtime to stay warm

  • My sport is your sport's punishment.
  • tried arctic zero & thought it was vile, and very depressing. They took all the happy out! IMO, if you're going to eat ice cream, get the GOOD stuff. Talenti Gelato & Haagen Dasz 5 both have short, all natural ingredient lists and are worth every calorie.
  • I slid into a size 4 shorts in late April/super early May (and a medium top). I was 169. 29.5 in waist. I'm 5'5". I wear Faded Glory pants.
  • scrambled eggs & bacon, pancakes, baked custard (hey it's high protein!)
  • I have been freed from being slave to the great white (or whole grain as you might have it) monster by switching to a Primal/Paleo diet. I use portabello mushroom caps for bread (or romaine lettuce if I want a wrap). I'm very satisfied & don't miss bread (even though I was a total sandwich hound before)
  • spaghetti squash and meatballs!
  • I follow PB/Paleo. Love it! Check out our support thread for this lifestyle: http://www.myfitnesspal.com/topics/show/267812-palelo-support-group my diary is public so feel free to check it out for ideas :)
