I'm pregnant (crazy cravings) and this doesn't even sound good. In fact, I think I threw up a little... one of those don't knock it til you try it things?

I'm almost 17 weeks along. I've gained 4 lbs in that time. As long as you're doing what you can to stay active, and eat healthy, weight gain should be minimal :) you're producing your own HCG. Take advantage of it!

I've done it a couple of times. I almost feel like child birth is easier, lol.

WHERE'S THE BEEF? Throw an occasional T-Bone in there, dude.

Probably the most helpful response that will occur in this thread! You gotta do what's best for YOUR body. We can tell you all day and night what Paleo is or isn't, but at the end of it all, you're the one that must do the research and decide how to achieve your lifelong goals.

What do you MEAN you didn't log adult time with your significant other?!
-
That would make an awesome pizza if done right! Thanks for sharing.

Whole 30 is a really good way to get started though. I've found that my compliance to Primal is way better after doing a round of W30 :) ETA: Plus you'll find out what's buggin' your system once you add stuff back in, and know to avoid it in the future.

Basic gist-- eliminate grains, dairy, and processed sugar. Eat lean meats, tons of veggies, and some fruit. Treat fruit like candy. Voila! Paleo in a nut shell. Paleo has a younger, more relaxed brother known as Primal. Primal goes on the same premise, but allows full fat dairy. Here's the 30 day challenge to get you…

Fruit is candy bar from the earth. So, essentially, you're asking "Should I be counting that king size candy bar I just ate?" Treat fruit with respect, eat it sparingly. Eat more veg, get plenty of protein. That's a balanced diet.

You need to count BLTs (bites, licks, and tastes). If it goes in your mouth, it counts.

Can't really go wrong with a salad. I really like Jasons Deli :)

this get some serious slobber on it. No better conductor than your own DNA ;)

Sun Warrior raw vegan Warrior blend might be a good fit for you. It's a little gritty, but the ingredient list is clean.

CHAMPION!

Agreed! Especially if you make a protein cheesecake *grin*

Eating breakfast foods at any time of the day won't do anything. Your body won't be confused by breakfast, lunch, or dinner foods at any given time. It just recognizes it as food/energy.

I can't speak highly enough of the Jeff Galloway walk-run-walk program. The theory behind it is your legs stay fresher longer b/c you're constantly switching which muscle groups you use. Google it and see if there is a Galloway group in your area to train with. ETA: just finished 2 half marathons within the last 30-ish…

Easy. Reduce carbs, eat more healthy fat. Fat helps keep you full and is less depressing than low fat/high carb *cheesy grin*

Since Jan 2011. I'm Primal/Paleo.

It's only 6 here. GO TO BED! Problem solved :D

Boredom is the result of avoiding the things that must be done. Got any errands or chores that need doing? If not, go for a walk. Get some fresh air. The night is young.

I'm Primal and enjoy it. High fat-low carb is way less depressing!

Real coconut milk comes from a coconut, not a tetrapak. The better option would be to get a can of Native Forest or Thai Kitchen. The others are franken-foods. That said, I don't have a preference between almond or coconut but IMO soy is the devil.

meet "Sludge": Greek yogurt, chocolate protein powder, peanut butter. Mix well. I know it's not a shake, but it's VERY FILLING! normally I just throw almond milk, protein powder, and some heavy cream in my blender bottle and go. It's not really rocket science.

Vibrams. That is all. (I'd marry mine if I could)

I am T1.5 diabetic. I was on an insulin pump and metformin. I am drug free today. I have MFP to thank for it and a healthy lifestyle. I low carb and my diary is public. I'm also Primal/Paleo. Many people think Paleo is a low carb lifestyle, but it isn't. It's simply reduced carbs because you take out all the junk and are…

I tried one a year or so ago. It made me super depressed. It tasted like they took all the happy out. If you want low carb ice cream, make it yourself.
-
*like* you can bring down the carb count by subbing unsweetened almond or coconut milk, as well as unsweetened/natural applesauce, and plain Greek yogurt (the last will up your protein as well)
