core strength training! I dunno if you incorporate this into your marathon training, but if you don't have a rock solid core (not necessarily a six pack, mind you, just very good strength), you got nothin! A solid core is the cornerstone of any sport!

re: How do I exercise with my heart condition? A: by working closely with your doctor! ETA: until you can get in to see them, light yoga and resistance (lifting weights) training should be good starting places

last I checked, a nice rib eye was 0 carbs. Offal (liver, etc) has carbs. Muscle meat does not. one could also add in cheese. Many brands are 0 carb.

honestly I think it's closer to shoveling snow. Even at my fittest, shoveling snow kicks my butt.

When I had an internship at a local horse showing stable, I dropped 14 lbs and got really toned arms. I dunno whether to define it as cardio or strength! I was loading up and lugging around 50 lb barrels up and down a ramp for about 2 hours, and then I got to be a barn manager and was doing haybales too. It's definitely a…

try switching to Crio Bru. It's about the same price as a bag of joe. Crio Bru is roasted ground cacao nibs. More antioxidants, less acidity. Good stuff!

We spend $800/mo on groceries to feed the 3 of us. I'm trying to get that down to our actual budget of $500/mo. $180 goes to our local farmer for our meat. The rest is what we need to make dinners with. So about $75/week is my current goal. It's not easy.

I usually have it in a bowl of sludge (greek yogurt + pb + chocolate protein powder), so I plan it out in advance. It's not something I just dip into the jar with a spoon haphazardly.

train fasted, burn more calories! Get the mixed grill at O.G. Take half home for lunch tomorrow.

Restaurants are irresponsible is like saying "guns kill people". When in reality people with guns kill people. So, bottom line "Food doesn't make you fat. Food CHOICES make you fat." And, yes, restaurants are irresponsible and out to make a quick buck at the expense of your health, it's true. One of the many reasons we…

I love being pregnant (most of the time, I have easy pregnancies) and would love to do it for someone else... provided they paid all the bills. I would hope my husband would understand "My body. My choice."

Steam em, drain em, toss in blender with sour cream and parmesan. They're really good! I especially enjoy using 50/50 cauliflower & parsnips.

I like to add some to peanut butter, mix it up, and chow down when I need to get caught up on calories for the day.

I usually opt for a pimped out candy apple from Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory instead of cake on my bday :)

magnesium citrate helped calm my chocolate cravings

try some foods with healthy fats (avocado, coconut, peanut butter, etc). They usually have more calories.

miralax, prunes, and dark chocolate. Enjoy liberally!

I'd just smirk at said skinny chic and crank up my TM for a little race. Pretty sure I can outsprint just about anyone. Nobody expects fat momma to do much. Let's see how long that girl can last on 10 mph the next time you see her.

how do you know it's not accurate? Maybe the user was wearing their HRM! I'd say my intimacy level is probably about the same amount of calories.

I like plain Greek yogurt. It's an acquired taste, I think. Try adding peanut butter and chocolate powder to it.

Many believe weight loss is about calories in and calories out, when in reality it's about controlling insulin. Sugar raises insulin significantly, and the body can take this as a signal to store fat. Choose all sugars sparingly and opt for more complex carbs.

miralax, prunes, and chocolate! Works like a charm.

I was 220-230 when I started running. I think if you work with a doctor and keep close eye on one's joints and stuff, you're not too heavy to run! Start off easy. Try couch to 5k or Jeff Galloway's run-walk-run program. You can do it!
