lean protein and vegetables every meal, omega oil fish, shrimp. a couple of fruits a day. limit processed foods and simple carbs. it's mostly what you eat. I try to do more calories during the day and cardio in the evening to reduce appetite and eat a smaller dinner. usually I have to do intervals with my calories, like 2…

yeah, I have to hit the sedentary button even tho I hit the gym every day. but enter in your own macros. I don't like the MFP settings, the protein is too low and the carbs too high. they use the old fashion food pyramid logic.

I totally agree with the fibrous vegetables, I have fun watching my fiber go up with each entry and try for 25-30 grams a day. right now I ran out so I need to hit the grocery store.

the veggies and protein is an awesome start. walking every day also helps. HCG puts your body into starvation mode and you will plateau out. I've known about 10 people who have done it and they have all gained whatever they've loss back.

I am not sure if you are for real on wanting to be thinner, you are very thin now if your numbers are correct. You may want to get your body percent checked again using an accurate method.

it's definitely a lifestyle change. to always order grilled instead of fried in restaurants, get the vegetables instead of fries. you get used to it and greasy food makes me ill now. coworkers are always saying, geez you are always on a diet. no, this is the normal way I eat.
-
the one thing I forgot about is walking every hour I am sitting at the desk. I sit for 10 hours a day and even though I work out every day, it's not enough to cancel the sitting.

I hate it when guys slam the weights down. come on. work that resistance to bring it down slowly. also, when the gym is really crowded, the weight area hoggers aren't very nice. I've actually been told to get out of their way, I was here first. so what if I have little 8 pounders in my hand.

I love new gadgets, my trainer gave me a Polar to wear during workouts and it's encouraging to see how many calories I burned, just like when I first got the fitbit, I wanted to beat my steps. So I say if motivates you and makes you happy, go for it. I think it's fun and I even try a little harder to get my cardio in so I…

many times i'll crave sweets like crazy in the evenings and then realize later, oh I didn't have enough protein today, or when I was the last time I drank a big glass of water. it usually helps. if after eating protein I am still dying, usually on my 3rd day, I cave and have a treat. 2 vanilla wafer slabs are 130 calories.…

I eat my breakfast at work, flax bread one slice w/naturally more pb, sometimes with a half banana, coffee with creamer, then a couple of hours later, scramble two eggs with frozen vegetables (I buy the stirfry mix) so yummy!. i'll make a package of turkey sausage the night before and portion out two pieces each morning.…

in the cardio section, there's calisthenics, vigorous effort, I enter in 30 minutes even tho I do 45.

I pay $20 a month for the ymca two blocks from work, I go at lunch maybe 2-4 times a month, I can't bring myself to cancel it cuz it's a pretty good deal and the days I run at lunch I am thankful for the shower. I have my evening gym near my house that I go more regularly.

Kiwi, how did you get your picture like that? that's cute.

I buy pork loin a lot too because it's cheap and very versatile. I even grind it up in my ninja blender and use it in place of ground beef or make homemade breakfast sausage. It's high in protein, low in fat and very flavorful.

My husband will go to Sam's and buy the ginormous cakes, the next day, I pack it up and take it to work so the vultures will eat it. problem solved. after a while, he either needs to hide it or buy a single piece.

I've always had a hard time losing the last 5 lbs. Sleep could be messing you up. I also had to up my calories 100 during the week, cottage cheese before bed or protein shake, will help you not be starving before bed.
-
I just looked at your macs and you seem to make good choices, I would try to hit that fiber goal tho.
-
You may need to mix it up a little, your body is getting more efficient at running.
-
i have never been able to stay in the pool swimming for a full hour (as an adult) so i kudos to you for that.
-
yeah I always cut the MFP burn by half. or enter my time in half of what I really did. but you did work your muscles which increases metabolism for hours. I'm always starving after swimming. if the water was cold, you burn even more calories. pack a fruit next time and like the other poster said, the mental benefit is…

you are welcomed to check out my food log if you like.

pretty much stay away from processed food, fast food. have to learn to eat clean, fresh/frozen vegetables, fruit. May need to give up the pizza and make your own burgers, without buns.
-
that is so awesome, you are an inspiration

What a great start, logging your food is a real eye opener and a way to get to know your body and what it needs to be healthy

It was a process for me. I was a couch potato, got tired of seeing the scale go up and up and hired a personal trainer. I actually walked into the studio with Chinese food in my hand. after a few months of only working out 2 days a week, he encouraged me to get some cardio in, so I joined a couch to 5k near my work, it was…

yeah dude, fill out your profile :)

My daughter had the same issue, seems like she was on her period every 15 days. It also took awhile to find the right pill that worked for her. but she didn't work out at all. she's the same age as you. tho I am confused how the colon is related to your period. esp since you are so young. maybe you are under a lot of…

I think the MFP calorie burned is way off, I usually only eat half back of what any machine or MFP says. I just got a polar chest strap and wore it yesterday to boot camp. Jumping jacks, burpees, etc my heart felt like it was going to beat out of my chest and I burned 368 in 45 minutes according to polar beat.
