magnesium helps me sleep, i take it every night. I buy the kind made from food, not the chalky stuff. tho those have worked too.

i've had several fitbits and if they die, i just email them and they send me another one. you have to show proof of purchase and i've had 2 mess up before the year is over. the new ones they sent me always last longer. i bought a blaze last week. i really like the sleep feature, step reminder. more accurate HR. It lays…

i've been standing for over a year now. i will never go back to sitting. mine doesnt adjust and i purposely bought legs that lift everything up so i dont have a choice but stand 9 hours 7 days a week. huge improvement in shoulder pain. i never need a sweater, i'm warmer standing. i dont think it's a significant calorie…

it's funny that you posted this, my husband just recently gave up sugar and beer for 30 days. he said the beer he doesnt crave but the sugar is very tough. i gave it up for 8 months and i had one dessert and it was all over. so trying to give it up again and it's a bit easier this time. He's noticed huge improvement in…

are you making a sudden drastic calorie change? like from 3k a day to 1200? I found making small changes will help you get over the pains and you won't give up as fast. my first change was giving up sugar. I know most mfp say calorie in/out. but sugar causes my sugar to spike and more hunger pains. my next phase was giving…

yes, esp if I am following my macro goals. it really helped me stay on track to pre-plan. I didn't always follow it strictly but it was easy to adjust.

Hi, I've gone 6 months without sugar last year and can give you some tips and will do it with you if you want some accountability. you can friend me. I'd like to do it again.

well it's been 2 years now but I moved from OK to CO and left all my family, friends, personal trainer, gym of 8 years. it was so hard to walk into the gym here. I felt so uncomfortable and weak, gained 10 lbs constantly eating. Altitude makes you hungry and sick, blah. after 9 months of feeling like crap, I finally hired…

I did the c25k several years ago and still run a couple times a week. I am freaking slow! lol some ppl can walk faster than I run, I keep cadence to easy listening songs, like Runaway Train. I love the feeling of running and I had a rough start. pains in the sides, shin splints, swelling in the knees, I had to see a…

I never regretted the money I spent on a personal trainer. I was getting nowhere motivating myself to eat right, or exercise regularly. I bot 2 sessions a week, even tho they try to get you to commit to 3. the best thing I ever done. he had me do a lot of body weight exercises. I pushed harder than I ever had. after a…

I wish you could share that post so I could convince my 23 y.o. daughter to stop drinking it. even if it's without backing, any motivation to stop is a good thing. she only lives off soda, barely any food. then she thinks if she switches to energy drinks, its more nutritious, I cringe every time I see a can in her hand.…

I love piper wai, it has magnesium hydroxide as the 3rd ingredient, it works really well. I smell good too

I've already done it. give yourself 2 weeks to make it through. it's incredibly hard to break old habits. eat a balance of protein, nutritious fruit and vegetables. I replaced a lot of the bread and junk with brown rice, then eventually weaned off rice. food prep every sunday evening.

I liked the fast metabolism diet, there's an app you can download that guides you every day on what to eat. the author is Haylie Pomroy. you exercise every day and your foods tie in to the exercises. carb/cardio, protein/lift days, fat/yoga.

I bought table leg extenders off amazon for $50 and now I stand all day, move more in general. I love it and it's better for my back, shoulders.

I had similar issues and found a nutritionist that specializes in digestive issues, together we figured out what it was and now I can eat veggies.
-
I always wish I had a personal chef to make delicious restaurant style salads that I don't have the patience to chop up and prepare.
-
Have you always been this way? is one of the specialists a nutritionist that specializes in digestive disorders?

i can totally relate to this! lol, I call myself semi-paleo cuz I didn't give up oatmeal or beans. so that makes me a pseudo too! and I have a fridge full of expensive almond meal that I haven't gotten around to making into sad little patties. tho I feel like giving up the gluten and dairy hasn't been a bad thing. in its…

foam roll your quads and hip flexors before you run, makes a huge difference! I also run 3 miles in between weight lifting. if you feel run down and like you just don't have enough oof, get your blood tested. The first time I got tested I was extremely low on D. then a few years later, I wasn't feeling 100% I was tested…

oh and even jillian michaels skips breakfast, still do your 1200 cals a day, just space them apart.
-
look up intermittent fasting. there's a couple of ways they suggest, one is skipping breakfast and lunch being your first meal. or one day fast. if I skip breakfast and have eggs, spinach, piece of fruit at 10, I have fuel for my lunch workout. i'm not usually hungry again until 2.

I have a hard time losing in my legs and my arms. I am in the same boat, this month celebrating 3 birthdays made me way off on my food logging. I'm back on it this week, taking a photo of everything I eat before I eat it. Still working out cardio and weight lifting every other day. I changed it up recently with muscle pump…

i think you look perfect, where is the extra 30 lbs?
-
I wasn't able to lose weight until after weaning and it just fell off. it was as if I retained a lot of water while nursing. of course I kept very hydrated to keep the flow. my cravings also went down after weaning, I think you can give yourself a few more months to get to your goal weight.

if you already gave up dairy and gluten and still having issues with digestion, look into glycine and glutamine. I take it on an empty stomach and now have no issues with digestion. If you have a leaky gut, probiotics will not go where they need to go. read as much as you can on leaky gut. I've just recently ended a 20…
