Thank you, both! I appreciate the advice.

I'm looking to lose weight and tone up.

Thanks so much! I'm willing to give anything a whirl!

Good Luck and welcome back!

I try to plan dinners a week at a time, even if it's only saying, one night we'll do this... another this. I basically give myself 5-6 options. I find cooking my lunches on Sunday to take for the week helps a ton with convenience. That's usually some chicken and vegetables or maybe if I did pot of chili over the weekend…

You have to figure out what works best for you. Personally, I don't like to deny myself of anything because of the exact thing you are going through. It's like the minute you say don't eat that, it's all your mind thinks about. Instead, I just like to tell myself to cut back. Maybe when you order a burger, skip the roll,…

It may not be 30 exactly but you'll definitely be close to that and be happy you started! you can do it!

If you live in an area that its warm right now, try long walks with the baby. I know that's hard where I live in the winter. I would also try youtubing exercises with baby. I know that there is some stuff you can do with them that would be beneficial.

Maybe make smaller amounts of two/three different things? Sometimes I'm like that with chicken... no fun!

Didn't realize this would be such a hot topic! lol I generally don't log the water that's in food, only an actual cup of water. The only reason I'm logging it at all is just to make myself accountable for drinking that more instead of sodas. It was more just curiosity because I know there are a lot of different opinions on…

What if I add a little sugar or honey? Would that take away from it being just water? That's the only reason I was thinking maybe don't count it as water. I always add lemon but occasionally will add honey to it.
-
Thanks everyone, I'm going to go with not counting it, just to be safe. It is caffeinated and I'm sure another glass of water can't hurt me :)

Thanks!

Thank you!

So sorry for all that you have lost. You have definitely every right to take your time and grieve. Best of luck with your journey. I hope that with every step you take you find you are one step closer to the you, you want to be. <3

First off, I have the same issue lately with trying to stick with it BUT I find that I do worse on my diet when I don't have a lot of other activities going on or when I'm not occupied by something else (which I don't know how that's possible with 2 kids). For example, if I'm home at night after the kids are asleep and…

Find a healthy alternative or like others have mentioned, drink a cup of tea. I'm the type that just feels content with something to drink or eat while watching TV.

Great thoughts girls. I went last week too and that's what has me freaking out. I just lost what I gained then. I was completely lazy and drank some heavier drinks. Michelob Ultra and some kind of activity this time around though lol

I'm also hoping my husband will run and workout with me so I don't feel so alone. Either way, at run at the beach isn't anything to not be happy about, right?
-
thanks everyone!! these are helping!
-
thanks! I have all the intentions in the world of getting up and hitting the gym or working out outside. Just hope I can keep the motivation.

Anyone... bueller... :)

I don't know that I've ever noticed at a certain amount lost. I think it may be the way your clothes fit. Usually when I start noticing a difference in clothes is when other people make a comment.

Looking to lose 20... Mommy of two as well! 3yo and 4 month old. Best of luck to you! We can do it :)

It also helps to use the webpage on a computer if possible. Sometimes the Apps can be a little more confusing than the actual site to navigate through. Just go to www.myfitnesspal.com and log in. Hope this helps.

Great ideas so far!

I would challenge yourself each morning to look in the mirror and find something new that you like about yourself. It can be physical or emotional. Sometimes we see the same thing because we aren't used to the change or we've been stuck thinking the same thoughts for too long. I get stuck doing the same thing sometimes and…

To be honest with you, in the last 5 years I have gone from losing almost 30 lbs, and maintaining, then being pregnant and 30 lbs heavier then my maintaining weight now I'm 5 pounds away from prebaby weight. My reason for telling you this is because no matter what my size was, I always think about food!! One thing that…

6 more pounds to go and a little over a month to do it! I haven't commented much but I'm still looking forward to trying to hit this goal!

Why not start out with something fun and entertaining. Do you have a Wii? they have lots of dance games and workout videos alone. It may not feel like much to you but a short dance or two might help you built yourself up little by little. Also, I've never done it but what about yoga or swimming? I have a friend that swears…
