  • I've been running minimalist now for three years, including several 5k's, a half, and a full marathon. Been using Merrell's (various models). Looking at the Skora shoes. Anyone using these? Fyi- since going minimalist I've stopped having calf strains and my knees are in great shape (I am 42 y/o).
  • You're not yourself when you're hungry. Try a Snickers.
  • Get gymboss interval timer app. Program it for 30 second intervals for 20 minutes. Do alternating pushups, situps, and bodyweight squats. You will have a quick workout where you'll work most muscle groups (the only one you won't hit much is your back).
  • I tried the Merrell program on their app to ease into barefoot running but it seemed ridiculously cautious. I got into barefoot running a mile at a time and it worked for me. I think it may be like anything in fitness, where if you take a break it's best to make a gradual return to the activity.
  • Will do. I think I'm still learning how to run barefoot. May have messed up and did a few heel strikes. Recovering slowly. May be back to normal on Friday.
  • Yeah, I have the trail gloves. Usually they're not too bad on the road, but you're right ... they are good on the trail. I may just need to adjust my form and take Caballo Blanco's advice and run light, easy, and smooth.
  • How long did you try your weight loss the first time? Also, how much weight did you really have to lose the last time?
  • Look at what you're doing and try something different. Change up your exercise routine. Eliminate something from your diet and replace it with something healthier. Also, make sure your perceived wall isn't just that you haven't lost any weight in two days. This takes time, as you're probably well aware.
  • I qualify. Math. Fitness. Fly fishing. Combative sports.
