  • I'm just crying over the prices. The next restaurant we're going to, just your avg "Just above family, but not quite fine dining" type place, has chicken wings ... $22 for 10. Not even a hole dozen. 10.
  • what's your favorite comfort food that doesn't have a lot of carbs in it?
  • you know, I may steal this. I was stalled for two months. kept gaining and losing the same 500g. Then I started seeing the recent studies showing that exercise doesn't really help you lose weight. Make you healthy yes, lose weight no. So, I stopped. I stopped doing step aerobics 3x a week, I stopped hiking up a side of a…
  • I would look at your logging. 600 calories from carbs is a lot. ETA:although apparently not as much as I thought. 2 serves (170g) of Barilla Spaghettini is 614 calories ...
  • Even if it the results are exactly the same as CICO (which they aren't IMHO) I am happier than 99% of the CICO low fat people I know. Do you realize how hard it is to eat CICO, LF in today's society? I can go out with friends, look at a menu and order a steak with blue cheese crumbles and veggies instead of spuds. The CICO…
  • Ibreathimhungry has really good recipes. Your diary is closed, but lets say you're eating 1200 calories a day, 50% carbs is 600 calories. What are you eating? Low carb is generally considered 100g or less a day, which would be about 400 calories (1g carb - 4 calories) regardless of the percentage of your goal.
  • Sorry I am of zero help on this. First time at a Shake Shack? I'd be calling "cheat day" all the way there and then enjoy all.the.things.
  • are you all on Android or iOS?
  • My decrease of inflammation has occured in "soft" structures. My asthma has gotten SO much better and my intestines are no longer impersonating a Macys T-Day parade balloon. My sinuses are a work in progress, but with allergies I'm not expecting too much more improvement there.
  • My NSV today is very small compared to some of the wonderful stories above, but here it goes I fit into my husbands old work shorts. Now, that may not seem to be a big deal, but husband is built like a 17 yr old boy from the waist down. No hips. Not butt. And I am wearing his shorts!

  • as long as you kept your carbs in check, you're all good. And since you count calories, as long as you ate less than 1960, you were still ina deficit, so all good there too
  • For wear with business attire, formal attire etc, there are "bracelets" on amazon and etsy that are designed to cover it up. I just went to the local Claire type store and bought a bangle that fits over it.
  • mine is more of a meal instead of a single food. chicken piccata (just don't dust with flour), and spinach sauteed in garlic/olive oil and tossed with toasted pinenuts. That mixed in with the lemon caper sauce from the chicken ... If I'm low on fat, I'll toss some feta or goats cheese into the spinach before serving. OMG,…
  • ooh yep, forgot about pork rinds and beef jerky. Those are my "gas station/7-11" go to if I was out longer, or need more snacks.
  • I am late to this conversation, but I found this ketosis calculator to be pretty good. http://www.flexibleketogenic.com/
  • Almonds* peanuts* cheese cut into one oz portions bacon deviled eggs plain hard boiled eggs * yes, I do actually weigh out and only eat the one oz serves ;)
  • I would go ahead and get it. I think you will be very suprised at how "not good" that pastry is. For me pastry always looks so good, yet falls so flat in the satisfying department. Now, my current specific craving ... I'm very glad I am 9,000+ miles away. Saves me from myself.
  • I'm stuck on why you would leave the FitBit at home but bring a pedometer. The FitBit IS a pedometer. I wore my FitBit through out Europe and it was a blast seeing that I had done 20,000 steps and 80 flights of stairs (Cinque Terre) in a day.
  • well there is the "Beef ground patties raw" choice or "beef - ground patties cooked" In this instance, since I am not eating the fat drippings, I would go with cooked. They even have different choices for the different lean/fat%
  • In the database, the USDA entries are the ones without the * in front. While not perfect, I try to use those as much as possible, for cooked and raw entries. I do end up using the bacon fat for other things. That has a USDA entry of "animal fat - bacon"
  • It depends. For recipes I use the raw options in the database. for bacon, there is a USDA "pork bacon pan fried option", so I use that. If I'm eating roasted chicken I use the "chicken, breast, meat only, roasted" option. veggies, I use raw measures.
  • I must have found your sweet spot and just added it to mine. If I don't track calories I find myself only eating 800-1000 after a time. No way is that good for me. I will add, that situation primarily occurs when I am keeping a very tight rein on my protein along with the carbs. So if I want to strictly eat only 80 g of…
  • I want mine turned off because I have custom set macros and calories. My FitBit TDEE is consistantly in the 2000 range. My calories in MFP are set to 1640. It's an arbitrary number that was created by setting my macros, that just happened to be about 17% below my TDEE. Perfect. I want them to stay there. All I have to do…
  • I'm still in. Although a touch modified I did W4 but then the "test" at the end didn't put me anywhere near W5 numbers (in column one) so I did the 2nd column in W4. I just did W5 D1(1st column)
  • Since it's not available in Australia yet, I guess disconnecting the accounts is the way to go. I have my macros and calories custom set and the constant changing of the numbers is throwing me off.
  • just sent a request.
  • HA! I've been trying to get my adjustment turned OFF. The "enable negative calorie" box is unchecked, but they are still showing up. I even contacted Customer service and sent them screen shots. I got a "sorry there's a bug"
  • To sync them, go to the Apps tab (across the top). Fit Bit and Aria will be two seperate apps click on them and follow the bouncing ball. To see the info in MFP, the weight will show up on your daily feed and the fat% etc shows up in the stats under "check in"
  • If it's easier for you mentally, cut out anything white for at least two weeks. No flour, sugar, rice, pasta potatos. I found that is easier for people to adjust to than "OMG, that cup of broccoli is .05 over my carb limit" and then the rest just seems to follow
  • I used to wear my One inside my bra cup, or on the center grommet, the the clip side out. It didn't effect the accuracy and I didn't break out in a rash.
