  • I have an Aria that I love. I was able to check it accuracy when I went in and used a professional grade scale. It was only off .5 lbs and .75 fat%. Well within my tolerance level. I also used the advanced section on the new NIH calculator and that had my fat% at .5 below what the Aria tells me. So over all I'm pleased.…
  • do you have it sync'd properly? On my log it shows Driving N/A N/A 25:05 47 cals the 2 N/As being steps and distance
  • I had the One for two years and loved it, (until I washed it) and went to the HR. If I had to chose between the One and the Flex I think I'd go with the One. I am constantly finding Flexs on the street because the band falls off.
  • download an app called "driveBit". set it to "riding in a car/truck" or driving if you do that too. You start it when you get in and stop it when you get out. The app automatically converts any steps during that time period to an activity in FitBit.
  • In my case, I assumed it was the Pilates and yoga tightening everything up. so the same weight taking up a smaller volume.
  • It could also be a difference of the computer verses the app. That happened to someone else I know on FB. She was saying that she had all her calories by lunch, but when we looked the app was shoing her sausage at 900 claories and the computer was showing it at 400
  • I fell off the program at W5. Life happened. I'll start up again soon. Probably this week
  • I too live in miserable conditions (think FL Everglades in July/Aug, but all year round). Add in that I'm a sweater, just running the vacuum can have me drenched. I make sure I get dietary sodium and I take magnesium and potassium supplements. You can also drink Pedialyte, or what ever they give babies for dehyradtion…
  • Whatever you guys do, do NOT, I repeat DO NOT get one of the glass domes range hoods that are so popular right now. OMG that thing is the absolute biggest grease trap in the world.
  • I had a Tanita that worked great, except you had to change the info each time for each user. No way was my H doing that. So now I have the Aria to go with the Fitbit. He just has to step on the scale, not even record it. I found it to be fairly accurate when comapred to the fancy professonal one at the dieticians office
  • I have heard this for a long time. First time being many years ago.
  • Turkey bacon has more carbs than regular bacon There are several sites that have good LC recipes/ideas. IbreathImhungry is one I use all the time
  • Don't all user added entries have an * in front of them? I just look for the ones that are * free. BUT, if I'm having a fried egg, I'll use Egg - raw and then add the fat I used to fry it.
  • The database has USDA (non-starred entries) for some cooked meats. For example they have Chicken - white meat only no bone no skin - roasted For recipes I use the raw entries. For meats that have a lot of fat cooked out of them (like ground beef) I use the cooked entry.
  • The first time I did LC, I am 5'6" and I ended up at 138 lbs, don't remember my BF%, but I do remember that I wore a US size 2/4. I was tiny. People were "concerned". I was all "nope" still right in the weight range for my age/height. go away now. Only exercise I did was pilates 3x a week and I raced big sailboats 1 night…
  • I'm at 10%20%70%, but keep the carbs at about 42g regardless of the percentage for the day
  • Nifti and or Ajax allpurpose kitchen cleaner/degraser In the purple spray bottle. That stuff is awesome. I also bake my bacon. that cut 80% of the mess out
  • are you getting enough fat?
  • I sauteee my veggies in olive oil. There's very few veggies that can't be made better by being sauteed in olive oil and garlic
  • I don't know if it's part of the "flu" but about two weeks in I slept every single chance I had. Wherever and whenever. FitBit shows I was getting about 11 hours through out the day. I noticed wight coming off at about three weeks.
  • with the BF% it may not be 100% accurate, but it will always be the same amount inaccurate, so you'll be able to see trends. Judt make sure that you weight naked, clean feet, at the same time of day each time. They also say to weigh at the end of the day (6 pm ish) when you are fully hydrated. It will give you a more…
  • Interesting. I just looked at my diary from this morning. I use the USDA entries for most of the foods. One whole egg logged as zero carbs and two egg whites only logged as one carb. Also I bet the regular version of your mayo has less carbs than the "lite" version. Plus it willhave more fats that you need anyway!
  • @JPW1990 , I use the one a few posts above. It doesn't tell you what macros to aim for, it tells you if you are actually in ketosis with what you've consumed. @missladyfit, I don't think it matters. I personally use gross, which maybe why 1.3-1.5 works for me if yuo take fiber out those ratios would be higher.
  • What country are you in? You'll eventually lose the urge to snack while watching TV. When and if I do, I pull out the cheese and peperoni.
  • Thankfully I was never really much of a grazer, so for me I needed to figure out what I was "missing". For example I used to eat chips, but really, what is there to miss about a paper thin piece of potato? Fat and Salt that's what! so ... Pork rinds for the win. I have now have zero desire for chips. Better yet, I can stop…
  • We're all down here. many are low carb, many many are keto http://community.myfitnesspal.com/en/group/394-low-carber-daily-forum-the-lcd-group Plus I think there is a Keto group too.
  • I use kale just as I would spinach. Just had some tonight, sauteed with olive oil, garlic and salt. Added a squirt of lemon juice ...
  • This group can help you with answers to your questions http://community.myfitnesspal.com/en/group/394-low-carber-daily-forum-the-lcd-group
  • Glad to help You can also use it to find your own sweet spot of macro ratios. I found that the scale started moving again if I stay at about 1.3-1.5. Any higher and I start to stall.
  • how much have you lost? I think they say it take 4 weeks for people to notice?
