  • Just added you  I have the matching shirt to your mug!
  • Ah! I love this! I will be dreaming of bin-bag-bow-adorned-after-pictures while trying not to grunt in the free weight section of my gym. I, too, have always had bigger arms that were the bane of my existence! Thank you for the quirky motivation
  • i was curious, so i went to amazon.com and searched for 'navy blue sports bra' and a lot of affordable options came up. This link is to an adidas bra that has several size options for example.…
  • Hi! I just joined the group as well! This is my first time joining a group and I hope the added support, encouragement, and accountability will help keep me motivated over the holidays and New Year! Can't wait to get started :) Michelle
  • this happens to me too! sometimes (and this might be even weirder) i grab a piece or two of the free pizza to take home and put in the freezer. I'll have it as a meal later on in the week that i can plan for and i'll add some veggies. Doesn't mess up my calories for that day and serves as a little treat for later :)
  • it may sound a little weird, but when i'm in the mood for chocolate, i take a non fat greek yogurt, add unsweetened cocoa powder to desired level of chocolatey goodness, and add two little packets of sweetener. it's kind of like a tart chocolate pudding but the protein from the yogurt keeps me satisfied. i saw the recipe…
  • Not to stir the pot any more but...i will  If going strictly by the DSM-IV and a psychiatric view, the definition of addiction currently only encompasses substances which induce physical dependence. In comparison, something like pathologic gambling is considered an impulse control disorder and not an addiction…
  • Starting it today too! A little scared  but we can do this!!
  • I love the blue with shoes, but not sure if the style of shoe you have paired with it right now is perfect. They're cute, but I think they could be sexier. Definitely shoes though to show off all your hard work! Your legs are beautiful and toned
  • look at before and after pics here on mfp while drinking some water or herbal tea :) you can do it!!
  • it's not necessarily just about the numbers on the scale! I think if you workout everyday with cardio and strengthening exercises, you will shrink and slip easily into your uniform. you can do it! just don't push yourself too hard, you gotta listen to your body. but more importantly....congrats on being on a softball team!…
  • I am NOT a morning person either and never used to eat breakfast! Or at least i didn't think I was! But I just decided one day to try to get to bed a little earlier to go to the gym before work because I was so easily talking myself out of it after work. So I did. I woke up at 5:30, logged on to MFP to help me wake up and…
  • I'm definitely not in the same situation as you, but CONGRATULATIONS!! There are a few people here using MFP to gain weight for sure, I know I've seen a few threads on the message boards. MFP is all about changing life style to be more healthy whether that means shedding or gaining weight :D Great job! Keep up all your…
  • ok I'm in too!! I didn't really have junk today, but it wasn't perfectly in the plan, so I'll count today as a cheat day! I'm scared of week 6! Maybe we could share recipe ideas with each other... Well, good luck everybody!! Let's keep each other accountable :)
  • I find that a midmorning snack (before you get hungry) of a small handful of almonds helps to keep that starving feeling at bay! And a nice hot cup of tea. :) You can do it!! Enjoy your soup!
  • i had a hard time when my dad died too. it was all i could do to function 'normally' day to day, let alone go to the gym and take care of myself!! hence my 40 pound weight gain (yikes). but i'm glad to hear you're feeling ready to get back to gym with guns blazing!! you're not alone! :flowerforyou:
  • I also had a mild case of plantar fasciitis because my hefty self wore no support ballet flats to my crazy job which involved me running around the building for 8 to 12 hours a day. I went to a physical therapist and she gave me a gooshy, spiky ball thing that I rolled my foot on. You can also do the calf stretches on the…

  • one day i was getting my hair cut and running a few errands at the mall, and three people told me they thought i was 22! i'm 27  i do have a baby face i admit, but i think losing a few pounds definitely made a difference! congratulations on all your hard work paying off!!

  • turbojam is a lot of fun! and it's from beachbody. peppy music but not dancey!! i would definitely recommend it. you can look up clips of the workout on youtube
  • i'm in the same boat! i think i need to invest in a heart rate monitor... i don't know if it is comparable, but i have been logging it as 'dancing, general' and then i usually take a few calories off of the estimate. I figure it's better to underestimate than to overestimate. i would love any other ideas tho!

  • yeah, i do the Sunday huge cooking spree to make my own frozen meals for the week too! This week is a yummy pork, black bean, sweet potato and mango stew. So yummy! I was scared to put in the calories for the stew, but despite the portions being large and really tasty, it's only around 500 cals for dinner! And so much…
