My goal is to lose 15 pounds by March 31. That keeps me on the pound a week pace, and will mean I'll be 16 pounds from my goal at the end of the challenge.

I took a quick look at your diary. It's empty! Or, at least the past week is. Logging every single bite that goes in my mouth has made a huge difference for me. I like to eat. A lot. And I can easily "forget" what I've eaten, or justify "just a little bit." But when I log every. single. bite. there it is, right in front of…

Some times it's hard to see our own transformation. Post some pictures in your profile- I'll bet we'll see a difference!

You and I are just about the same height and starting weight. I've been at this since the first part of September, and I'm down to 180 so far. You look great! Off to a good start.

No Advice, but congratulations on a major life change!

This.

You are in my thoughts. What a tough thing to live with daily. Here's hoping he gets the help he needs. Take care of yourself.
-
That's hilariously awesome! Congratulations!

About the last two weeks or so, I have been cold. I had a complete physical in October, so I know my health is fine. I think it's the missing insulation. I've been drinking hot herbal teas at night, and piling on the blankets. Will my body adjust to being less insulated as time goes on?

Thanks ladies, and congratulations to both of you for losing more than 100 pounds! That's fantastic!

If you are eating healthy whole foods and little processed sugar, don't even worry about it (unless you are diabetic or the doctor has told you to worry about it!).
-
Good for you! Keep it up.

Celiac can cause all sorts of symptoms including all of yours and is very difficult to pin point. But you can definitely have all those symptoms and NOT have celiac. The only way to know for sure is the biopsy test. An allergist will do more/different tests and may help. It's something to consider. Eating clean has helped…
-
Have they done a biopsy for Celiac disease? Different from the blood test, and the only way to know for sure. Have you talked to an allergist about possible food allergies? Are you taking any medications at all for anything?

Make room for new skinny clothes!

My husband has not been wholly supportive of my weight loss and healthier lifestyle, but he's getting there. For him, I know the issues. He does the cooking and shopping for the family, and takes it as a slight to his ability to provide for the family when I won't/don't eat what he has prepared, or when I question him…

Yep, me too. Once I started eating clean-er, eating less, and exercising, my digestive issues disappeared, fatigue went away, and many of the aches and pains did as well. My husband will also tell you I don't snore any more, either (Ha. Like I ever did. Pfft.). Celiac can be a very, very serious issue, and if you think you…

Logging everything is essential for me. I log before I eat, so I know exactly what I'm eating, adn adjust portions ahead of time to fit what I have available. Eating what I thought was a good amount is what got me in ot this mess in the first place. Log EVERYTHING!
-
Just eat more fruits and vegetables. Cheaper and no mess of cleaning the damn thing, plus you get all the fiber and goodness.
-
So, you want opinions, but not facts. Got it.
-
You are getting healthier! Yay!

I ate and drank what I wanted, and thoroughly enjoyed the day with friends and family. No idea how many calories I consumed, I just did a Quick Add of 3000 calories and called it a day. But, I am down a pound today from where I was at the beginning of the week, so I couldn't have screwed things up too badly. I plan on…

I have heard that MFP over estimates calories burned, but I have checked against other sources, and it's all pretty close. I eat almost all my exercise calories and as of this morning, I'm down 28 pounds since the beginning of September, so it's close enough.

Turkey and rice soup.
-
Clearly, you didn't eat enough mashed potatoes, stuffing, or pie. : )
-
Set my goals using MFP, eat as clean s I can on a given day, log every single thing that goes in my mouth (drives my husband nuts that I weigh and measure everything, but that's his problem, not mine), and walk or ride my bike (mostly walk/hike) four or five times a week. Yes, I eat my exercise calories. They are yummy.…

My work schedule varies from day to day and week to week. So, my exercise schedule varies, too. Lately, I have been finding late afternoon is a great time for exercise, and I end up eating less because I'm out exercising rather than sitting around thinking about how hungry I am.
-
If you went to bed with enough calories left over for a slice of pizza, you are not eating enough. Eating a slice of pizza is not a bad thing if it fits in your calorie goals and your macros. Eat your exercise calories. MFP is designed for you to eat them. It's not going over or cheating to eat them. I've lost 28 pounds…

It's 8:26 am here right now. I have to work at 10:15, and it's going to be a busy day. I was scheduled to work yesterday, but managed to get things switched around so I had the day off, so I can't complain too much about working today. I like my job and I'm very happy to have it.

Exactly what I did. It's one day. I'll do the same on Christmas. The rest of the year, I'll track everything.
