You should eat something. Either something available for call for takeout, which ever you think is healthier. If you haven't eaten in hours, you probably have plenty of available calories. And you should plan ahead! If you know you're going to be there all night, take food with you to eat throughout your shift. Don't put…

Very different when you see it than when you try to imagine it! Good idea!

Wow, that's fantastic! You're lighter now than in 8th grade? That must feel so good!

Oatmeal. The slow kind. I like it with fruit (fresh or dried) and nuts.
-
Good for you! That's really what it's about- taking care of yourself.

I don't know how to post pics here, but I put a couple in my profile with dates on them. 16 lb difference.

Awesome transformation! Congratulations!

Heaviest (not pregnant. I don't count that): 208 on August 28, 2012. Lightest as an adult: 132 sometimes in the 80's. Hard to maintain, not really practical. Current: 192 as of this morning. Goal: 145. I can, and have maintained that. It's been a while, but I'm pretty sure I can get there and stay there. I'm 5'7". It looks…

I'll confess, I haven't read all the responses, and I hate it when people respond without reading all the responses. Sorry! But, it sounds like you might benefit from a visit to a chiropractor. Take your x-rays and other records with you. Ask people you know for a referral to a good one, and you may have to try a couple…

My work is one of those places where people always bring tons of treats to share. When I decided I want to be healthier and eat right, I decided I will only eat food I bring to work. I just ignore the other stuff. But Ii bring plenty of things that are healthy and fit with my new way of eating, so I can munch on something…

My son is undergoing chemo right now for Hodgkin Lymphoma. As 2hobbit1 said, there are great medications available for nausea. Talk to your doc. Also, talk to your doc about the weight. This may not be a time to worry about it. Depending on what drugs you are taking and which chemo you are getting, there may not be much…

Latest research suggest coffee has a protective effect against Alzheimer's, and coffee has more anti-oxidants than any other food source. Try as they might, no one has been able to definitively prove coffee is bad for you. Of course, once you load it with milk fat and sugar, some problems arise. Caffeine may have some…

I promise, no matter when they measure, the dress will need alterations. The sooner you do the measurements, the sooner you will get your dress (usually), and by the time you get it, you'll have a better idea size wise. And you are so close to your GW, don't worry about it.

Congratulations! Talking to a nutritionist is the thing to do at this point. Eating well to grow a healthy baby doesn't mean you have to gain a bunch of weight, but definitely talk to a professional.

194 (193 tomorrow? It's about time to drop another one...), aiming for 145.

I don't think it matters what carbs you eat as long as they are whole food complex carbs. Look at my diary if you like for some ideas.

I have just about eliminated the afternoon slump by eating three meals and two or three snacks a day. I try to eat every 3 hours or so all day long. I eat pretty clean (I am not a fanatic, but that's basically what I do) and eat protein and complex carbs throughout the day. A quick walk is a great idea. And stay hydrated.

I have a friend who started having bizarre gastro symptoms that her doctors were not able to explain. She lost 60 pounds in a matter of a few months. I don't remember what the officially diagnosis finally was, but it was described as "a heart attack in her bowels". After a year, she could only eat a few bland foods. I have…

Interesting... I have been having some issues along those lines and wondered if it was related to my change in lifestyle some way.

Wow, that's almost enough to make me take up running! (No. I won't. Bad knees/bad back. Running and I do not mix. Even years ago when I was thin)
-
Sometimes you just have to take it easy for a day or two. This too shall pass. But if it's unusual, you should probably let your doctor know.

I count everything, but salad is tricky. I make a huge salad every night, with a couple different kinds of lettuce, spring mix, and spinach, then add lots of veggies. A carrot, a couple radishes, some green/red/yellow/bell pepper, tomato, cucumber, celery, maybe asparagus or green beans, whatever is in the fridge. This is…

Do you stretch before starting? Walk a little before jogging to warm up?

Make an appointment with your doctor, tell your employer you have an appointment, and go. If they are fussy about it, count it as lunch or sick time or something.

Yes.

You're 5'7" and 114? 20% body fat? You are under weight by most accounts. You don't need to loose anything. And maybe should gain a few pounds. If you think you look flabby, work on toning and strengthening, bu there is no reason you should be thinking you need to loose weight.

Make lunches the night before, and have breakfast with your kids. Make some thing you all can eat.

Where are the carbs coming from? Whole grains/whole foods- I wouldn't worry about it. White bread, white rice, sugar- I'd work on changing it. And if seeing them show up red bothers you, go in to your goals and set them at a higher percent, and adjust your protein and fat. Currently, my goals are 60 cars, 20 fat, 20…

The quiz was kind of silly. I was not "mostly" anything. But, knowing myself and when I feel best, am definitely a type B according to this system, and my husband is a type A. I currently have my carbs at 60, and protein and fat both at 20. Seems to be a good balance for me right now. My husband does very well on a high…

I know a couple people who have had reduction surgery and it can be a great thing. I would wait until you are at your goal weight and are comfortable maintaining. Then you'll know where you really are. Sort of related- I had a good friend who was very lopsided as a teenager. One side was a D cup the other a B. She was…
