  • I picked 140lbs because in the past I used to weigh 130 and I felt good and looked good. That was many years ago and my body has changed since then. I carry more muscle mass than I did before so I adjusted the goal by 10lbs. When I reach that if I'm not satisfied I will readjust my goal.
  • I like to get a vodka and water and then put in some fruit punch Crystal Light or tequila and water and put in some lemonade Crystal Light with a slice of lime. Both are about 63 calories each.
  • I sprinkle mine with Lemmon & Herb spice and grill on my George Forman grill. also works for salmon.
  • Welcome! I've just gotten back on this board. While I was on it I lost weight, the minute I got off I started gaining weight again. Now I have 80lbs to lose so I'm in the same boat as you. Maybe together me can all get healthy and fit. :drinker:
  • I didnt get in any exercise today, there just wasnt time. I did however stay under my total calories. Still trying to drink nothing but water but had to have a gatorade today due to some leg cramps. Have an amusing quote that they have hanging at my gym: "NOTHING TASTES AS GOOD AS SKINNY FEELS"
  • Now that's the kind of man I wish I could find, supportive! Good luck on your vacation and have fun!
  • I drink one for breakfast 5 days a week (don't get up early enough on the weekends for breakfast). I use the AdvantEdge Carb Control. It has 17g of protein and comes in chocolate. Gives me my chocolate fix and is good for me too!
  • Welcome aboard! I too have found this site to make tracking calories and exercise extremely easy. Only been on here for about 10 days and already I have lost 6lbs. That has never happened to me before. So good luck! and Good Sucess!
  • Zumba is good for building core strengh and if you add the toning sticks it works the upper body pretty well too.
  • Welcome! I'm new here too so feel free to add me (I'd add you if I could figure out how, lol). In a small way, I know how you feel. When I was a young teen I had body image issues, weight problems, and was bullied. Fortunatly I am unable to make myself throw up or I would have been bulemic as well. As I've gotten older I…
  • Potassium alone might no be enough. Some times muscle cramps are a result of low calcium levels as well. Try the potassium and if that doesn't work, try taking some calcium with Vitamin D.
  • Today was pretty good. Stuck to water today. Food choices were pretty good, had a salad pot luck birthday party at work. Got in 30 mins of cardio and my strenght exercises. Feel pretty good.
  • Well yesterday I had no sweets, drank only diet green tea and water, had a 2 hour karate class which got me cardio and some strenght training. Did walking lunges, push ups, and tricept dips. So far so good.
  • I had the same problem and I know how frustrating it is. You work and you work and you work and nothing happens. then eventually you say "the heck with it" and go back to eating all the junk food. The only thing that accomplished for me was to gain an extra 20lbs that I now have to lose. Just hang in there and it will…
  • I'm 45 and having more fun now than I did when I was in my 20's & 30's! Now working on getting back in shape so my 72 year old dad can't work circles around me!
  • Hey, you're not far from me, I live in Booneville, AR!
  • Born in Staten Island, New York. Transplanted to Booneville, Arkansas when I was 16. Love it here but still miss some things from New York. Especially people that understand hockey! Go New York Rangers!! (if there is a season :grumble: )
  • I am new to MFP and my dieting but have been doing cardio & strength training for the past 4 months. Most of the exercises I am already doing. The only one on the list I can't physically do is the lunges. My knees just won't tolerate it at my current weight. As for drinking nothing but water, will be hard but I'm in!
  • I am new to this site as well (joined 2 days ago). I have struggled with my weight for years. Mangaged to lose 40lbs and get down to 146lbs several years ago but could not maintain it. Now I have gained all that back and 30 more. After years of yo yo dieting I have determined that I am a food addict. I think about food all…
  • That is sooo funny! I guess that is the reason for my continuing weight gain. Just started with this website 2 days ago and am hopeful that this can finally help me gain control of my eating.
