Yet again I have to point out I'm giving suggestions and refuting things based on LOSING WEIGHT. I understand there are many factors that are tied into a healthy lifestyle. You are one of the small percentage that cannot eat what you want, and there is nothing wrong with that (you are the exception). From a PURELY weight…

I know I'm not a messiah I'm just so used to years ago on MFP when people circulated the points I said in my initial post. I feel like I have to change everyone for some reason. Weird.
-
And you have every right to. If that's what you want to do with your lifestyle/diet more power to you I'm glad. I simply refuted the claim that breakfast has a lot of benefits.

Already covered I needed to change the title and I apologized. I'm relatively new here and I post topics that I think will help or guide people, period. I don't seek out other instances of what I said by other people and not post because the information was said ad nauseum "50 million times". The points I said in initial…

Cuote] I understand where are you coming from but I don't really agree with your comments. IMO, the biggest myth and misconception with diets is putting only "calories in vs calories out" as the Holy Grail above everything else. Detaching weight loss from health and a balance diet only (in the majority of the cases)…

I'm going to say this in the most respectful way I can. The fact is, eating less calories than you burn IS all it takes. That's the main basis around every single diet in existence. The reason why everyone's not a lean machine is because some can't adhere to their diet, some don't even try and eat whatever in excess. You…

I equate my physical appearance to how "valuable" I am, which is unhealthy I understand (and I'm actively trying to change).

No. However last year I got under 20% (6'1 @205 or so) and still felt the same feelings about myself.

He really wasn't implying all food varieties are " good" he was just saying the same thing I've been preaching - it's easier for some people on a weight loss plan to not restrict themselves. I agree with the yo-yo dieting angle as well. Why restrict yourselves from your favorite foods in moderation? I do agree with you,…

After some evaluation of this topic I can say that : -The topic title is misleading/incorrect and I should of created a better one. My apologies. - I respect anyone's diet and fitness plan even if it differs from the "eat whatever" plan. If it's easier for you to eat clean awesome, keep with it. My entire purpose of this…

Haha. Usually you hear the most incorrect information in a situation where something is going to be sold.

That would be the day. It sucks the " starvation mode" concept has been brainwashed into peoples heads for so many years yet is such a overhyped, flawed, and illogical lie.
-
You said it yourself. Everyone does have the capability to lose weight and stay in a deficit while eating whatever they want - which also takes in account clean eating or not "eating whatever". If people can't stay on the regiment and slip or stay in a deficit that doesn't negate the fact the capability for them to do it…

Thank you sir.

Wasn't trying to settle things. Edited to make you feel better and smile.

The fact I mentioned I "experimented" and "tested" the things I said is meant more of a nonliteral way of saying I subjected myself to.I said it worked for me and many others as well, not to mention the method I (and others) use for weight loss is becoming the standard for modern diet as people are learning the truth…

I'm glad I could help. I just see too many people clinging on to the things I refuted so I'm trying to educate the best I can.

Active and motivated 19 year old guy here. I love to motivate others and I'm also in need of some buddies so send me an invite and we'll drop some lbs together!

Very interesting.

I'm adding everyone here lol.

I do intermittent fasting, which consists of a 4 hour eating "refeed" period.
-
Thanks very much everyone. If it weren't for this site and its great members helping me I don't know when I would of already quit :/ I'll hit the gym back up tomorrow and try to chalk this up as a minor setback

You are NOT fasting. Anything generally over 50 Kcal a day is not a fast but severe calorie restriction. This is not healthy at all. If you wanna fast, then do it. Research Intermittent Fasting, its a great way of life.

I haven't had bread in 3.5 weeks. Feels good not to consume those excess carbs :)
-
Wow really? I have a Chipotle down the street lol. May have to check it out maybe for a post workout meal? Is it good?
-
General consensus- Chicken, pork, and fish are the most popular meat choices.
-
What I do for my daily refeeds on fasting is something like this- 1.5 cups of brown rice, 2 pork chops cut or 1 8oz chicken breast cut, 1 cup of cottage cheese, 1 Banana or piece of fruit, and Asparagus and/or broccoli This work for me seeing how I consumer my daily calories from 2-4pm. The calories for a similar meal is…
