Simple solution: Bring a food scale to work and leave it there!

My DH grew up raising hens, ate double yolkers many many times...no babies let alone twins as yet! ????????????

It has been a long time since I have had a cigarette (46 years) when I smoked over a pack a day. The best way is quit "cold turkey". If you are smoking two packs a day, I can only imagine what your lungs must look like. Do it now...today...don't even think about another one. Chewing gum, eat veggie snacks will help but go…

Started Alternate Day Diet where I eat a maximum of 500 calories every other day and anything I want (within reason) on Up days. This is working so well for me that. I even look forward to those Down days. The first day is a little tough, but discovered that if eating lots of healthy vegetables, especially on Down days, I…

I agree! Even though I have a good idea of what portion sizes look like, it is easy to go over on estimates and eat too much. I too have tried not logging food, but for me, I know I need to log...it just feels more comfortable and now i don't even think about not logging my food, and I am not sedentary by any means. Good…

This sounds so good. Any idea how many servings and calories? Thanks for sharing.

Hi Retziegel and welcome to this group. Good luck with the plan and nice to have you here. I started EODD on Sunday and have already lost 2.6 lbs. this really works.
-
Hi again. It would be so beneficial if you would open your diary, as mine is, and we can get meal ideas from each other. Diane

Hi there. So glad someone is here. Started EODD on Sunday and already have lost 2.6 lbs...love love it. Thanks for friending me. We can do this and it is going to work.

You have lost two pounds and still have 32 to go. Give yourself a chance by eating right and exercise and you will see a big difference. Don't give up.

Hi Suzanne. You are to be admired and emulated for what you have accomplished. 195 lbs. later over two years, such perseverence and determination, you finally did it. Way to go, my friend! You are now at maintenance as I am, I too still struggle with that fat woman wanting to rear her ugly head having lost overall 50 lbs.,…

You look great. Don't give up and put the weight back on. I have been where you are now after losing weight, getting down to my mid-range normal BMI, feeling great about myself, to have someone tell me "You look too thin...put some back on!" Which is what I did and felt miserable. Go with your gut, do what is right for…

Hello everyone. I too was loving my glass of wine each day while preparing and during dinner but a huge lightbulb went off when back in January while seeing my doctor, I had two options. I take blood pressure meds, have been for about fifteen years now. I told him how much I would love to get off these meds. His comment…

A lot of that is probably sparked by women being out in the workforce more now, no time to cook healthy meals so fast food is too much becoming the norm. So scary. It is hard to believe that there are generations of kids coming out of this that will suffer the consequences and we can see it has already started when we look…

Congratulations on 100, Angela! Be proud of yourself for your amazing accomplishment. One foot in front of the other will get you to your ultimate goal. You rock, girl!

Wow and Wow! What an inspiration you are, and so happy for you that you have such a great friend in Jackie who helped you get started on this journey. You have done incredibly well. For those of us who have so little to lose compared to what you have done for yourself, what an example of perseverance and determination.…

Google that question. You will get a lot of good information. No....all foods are not created equal!

No fee. There is a Premium program which can be bought into but not necessary. I don't have it myself and feel it isn't necessary.

I agree. Fitbit ONE can be worn attached to your bra (invisible to the outside world), on a waistband or in a pocket. Measures steps, miles, flights of stairs climbed, worn 24 hours a day: at night it trackers movement while asleep and how many times you woke up, worn on the wrist. Very accurate and incentive to get to…

One large egg white has 55mg of sodium. A good website to check nutrients is: http://nutritiondata.self.com/facts/dairy-and-egg-products/112/2 I have saved it as a favorite and is a good goto site for confirming nutrients.

477 and counting....did not know this site has been around that long! Good job!

Sounds interesting...count me in!

100% with you...My Fitness Pal has been a Godsend for me over the last 476 days...congratulations MFP on an excellent website for so many people who need and have and will benefit from it. Kudos to you MFP and a BIG THANK YOU!

Ditto here as well as MFP. Have had my Fitbit One for 19 months and love it. Wear it 24 hours/day except in shower...not waterproof, although the Flex and Force are said to be. Best little motivational tracker I have ever had!!!
-
I have had my Fitbit One over 18 months now and love everything about it. Bought the One for my DH as well and now we compete for steps and miles. It is accurate in measuring calories, steps, miles/kilometers, flights of stairs climbed, and sleep. I wear mine 24 hours/day except in the shower (it is not waterproof however…

Suzanne...crustless pumpkin pie. Also i have made a pumpkin pudding using vanilla instant pudding, 2 cups of milk, 1 cup pumpkin puree and 1 tsp. cinnamon or pumpkin pie spice....to name a few.

What an amazing transformation. You are doing so well. I have pics of me progressing from my lean 118 lb. self right up, over the years, to 192 lbs. at my highest. Shocking, and the problem is, we don't even realize it happens unintentionally over time. Many diets, weight loss programs later, much money spent, and finally…

A great recipe...looks like a keeper! Thanks for sharing!
