  • Thank you for the replies. I will call the doctor for further tests. I do not take any medicine. Just a water pill, prescribed by the doctor, a probiotic and B complex vitamin.
  • Thanks everyone! I am going to up my calories to 2040 and see if that helps. I hear what you all are saying about processed foods and I have cut a lot out. I am doing an experiment, cutting out all wheat and limiting processed foods. Thanks heybales for the formula, I plugged in the numbers and got the 2040.
  • Sorry! Forgot to answer the question about working out. I swim a lot with my kids & do EAS Sports 6 week challenge 4 times a week. Before starting that again, I was doing various Wii games & 30 Day Shred - 3 times a week
  • I agree, I really don't want to undo all the hard work (mostly mental) of doing a reset. I figured out my TDEE to be 2546 and BMR to be 1642 (according to Scooby). I started at a 15% cut which took me down to 2164. After that didn't get me a change (for a month); I dropped down by another 500 calories. It was suggested…
  • I dropped 300 calories, going on 4 or 5 weeks ago. No measurement loss and no recordable weight loss, +- same two pounds, depending on day, exercise, sodium intake. I have noticed that I retain a lot of water in my abdomen, feet & legs at times. I know that I have edema; but it isn't consistent. I have only been putting 1…
  • Heybales- I went back over my diary for the last 28 days and figured out my average daily calories & workout minutes. I gained about 3 pounds in the last 28 days. I really tried to hit my macros each day; but rarely got all my protein in...although I am eating about twice as much as I used to. Average Daily Calories -…
  • No, I haven't used a scale for two weeks (at least not consistently!) That is a good idea and I will try that and hope that it helps me finds something that I am missing. I haven't been completely sloppy; but I have been a lot more lax than before (which I have remedied today). And it isn't like I am getting McDonald's Big…
  • Hello! I have the same history as you, not eating the proper amount of calories for years on end, trying every fad diet and failing. I have much, MUCH more weight to lose than you; but I found myself stuck at a weight I was not happy with, regardless of how much I exercised or how little I ate. From my college days, I had…
  • Welcome! I had a lot of questions too and thankfully everyone has been really helpful. I am in my 8th week of a 12 week reset and I am itching to start cutting, so I can drop some weight...which probably means I'm not ready to cut yet. I think my body is still mad at me for years of abuse. :) So far I have gained about 8…
  • I had the same problem the first week...trust me, it gets easier once you get going! I started eating things that I had limited before, almonds, peanut butter, etc. Once you realize that you can eat the things you have been avoiding, it is easier. Now I am kind of sad that I need to start cutting in a few more weeks (I am…
  • I know it feels odd picking up the full fat yoghurt, or peanut butter, or olive oil, but it will really help to get the cals (and the fat!) into your diet. ^^^^ This! I really believe it is about 95% mental. Once I accepted the fact that I was going to gain in the initial reset phase and was okay with it, my whole thought…
  • You too! I will send you a friend request. I used to weigh every day, but it was extremely damaging to my mental health. I would see an increase and then my whole day would be thrown off...so I decided to weigh in half way through and then again at the end. I was scheduled for yesterday, but TOM is here and I'm sure that…
  • Hi everyone! I am in the middle of a reset. I am going into my 7th week today; so far I've had ups and downs, far more ups than down. The biggest up being, EATING! I get to eat again and not worry about every single calorie, I think that has helped my stress level a lot too. I am doing a 12 week reset since I have been…
  • Thanks for the thoughts everyone! I like the flour bags & laundry detergent...good ideas! :) Have a great weekend.
  • OK, I need some words of wisdom...I am three full weeks in to a complete reset and for the first time, starting to freak out. My pants are uncomfortably tight and I am retaining a ton of water in my legs and middle. Is this normal? Any suggestions how to deal with the water retention? How long does it generally last?
  • I would like to join too! I started my reset almost 4 weeks ago and could use some advise, encouragement, etc.
  • I was so happy to read this!!! I thought that I was abnormal. I am starting week 3 of my reset and the first week, I thought I was going to throw up the first few days from all the food; now I am finding myself to be hungry all the time. I am avoiding the scale like the plague for at least 4 full weeks; it plays with my…
  • I love food! I am just trying to remember (re-learn) that its okay to have and enjoy it. I will read the link, thank you!
  • How are you measuring your calorie burn, out of interest? [/quote] I have a Polar HRM that I use.
  • What should I do on consecutive work out days? I'll take all the help I can get!!! After years of frustration, I am willing to try almost anything.
  • You look fantastic!!! :) 1) How tall are you? 2) How did you do it?
  • I know I should make my own breakfast sandwich (and I do on the weekends); it is merely convenience since I can't get up any earlier than I already do (4am) and survive the day...lol! Yes, I have been drinking all my water (over 8 glasses); but sometimes forget to track it all. I have also stopped drinking pop/soda this…
  • Sorry they are so big (kind of like my face...lol!)...I don't know how to make them smaller.
  • First of all, I have to say, AMAZING work everyone! All of you are truly an inspiration, thank you!!! I have observed two things while scrolling through these pictures. First, the "after" or "during" pictures everyone looks so much happier and second, younger! On the whole, most people look about 10 years younger. WOW! I…
  • Thank you for doing the spreadsheet! I forgot to weigh in this week [hangs head]. I am the same weight as last week. Hopefully after I will have better results after TOM leaves.
  • When I put "LW", I meant "last week"...sorry for the confusion!

  • Hi everyone! I am a week late to the party, but I hope that's okay. I am starting to get my motivation back, but could always use some more support! :) Quick background, I have always been the funny chubby girl growing up. My highest weight was in college when I ate what I wanted, didn't exercise or care. Ironically, my…
