Well, if there HAD been $$ in the bank, then there wouldn't be 2G's in credit card debt.
-
When you are older than 20 and have $$ in the bank, THEN you treat your family. Until then, bake them a cake. If you want to splurge, use sprinkles.

No. No. No. If I can't pay cash, I can't afford it. I will use layaway all year long for Christmas versus putting it on a credit card. The only things that go on my credit card are monthly charges like gym membership and the newspaper. Those items are budgeted so I have $$ to pay them every month. NO NO NO credit…

^^ This! I was going to say the exact same thing. Sounds to me like you need to alternate gym nights. But unfortunately, I think the issue is bigger than this. You know, you just can't do it all. You can't be responsible for all the meals, the $$ for the bigger home, the job, the kids, etc. You have to decide what you are…

Well, I think it will resolve itself. Seriously. It's a matter of changing how we think and that's a process. It does suck to pass up those cupcakes or that chili con queso, and sometimes I do feel like I'm missing out, but when I get on the scale and have lost another pound then I find that I feel less like I'm missing…

OP, do you spend alot of time at the gym? I have found that when I go to the gym I am psyched about my progress and can easily say no. On the days I take off from the gym b/c I have another commitment or whatever, that night and the next day I feel more slack, less pumped up.

I totally appreciate it when someone gives me a hand...whether it'ss a word of encouragment or correction of my form....or holding the door for me. She should have just said "thank you" and moved on. Her dis of you is a reflection of her bad manners, not of your kindness. Screw her.

I can burn 500 on the elliptical. I go 5 miles and it takes me an hour. I use the arms and go forward 1 mile, then backwards w/o using any hands just balancing, then foward, then back, then forward. By the time I get off I'm a sweaty mess. The weight has FALLEN OFF since I've started doing that.

Exercise and get some of those calories back.

People (women usually) yakking on their cell phones while on the treadmill. OMG, shut up! People (guys usually) who claim more than one machine b/c they jump back and forth between them. Dude, you can have one machine at a time...you aren't the only person trying to get a work out. Head sweat on the machine benches. Use a…

I TOTALLY agree! If I forget my music, I want to just go home. My pet peeve about others.....sweating all over the treadmill/elliptical/whatever and then not wiping them down. This aggravates me to no end. Seriously people...I have to use that machine when you get off!

No big deal. One day won't blow all of the hard work you've put in. And you can look back on this next week when you want to cheat again and then you can decide if the cheat is worth your inevitable disappointment. It's a process.

There's no big secret to losing the weight...it's simply diet and exercise. Knock off the junk food. Make smart food choices. Utilize MFP and abide by your calorie goals. Then exercise regularly. If you do that then you will lose the weight. Think "hard work and denial". Period. But none of that will work unless you are…

laziness and eating way too much

If you're asking us, then obviously you aren't okay with it.

My coworker is at least 75lbs overweight. She can't take a flight of stairs without being winded. She uses a machine for sleep apnea. Yet her doctor tells her that her weight is fine. She thinks she's healthy. It makes me crazy.

Thanks ya'll! Okay, I'm doing it! I'm glad to know this is pretty common b/c it certainly worked well for me. I started the C25K program about 6 weeks ago and I liked it, but I started getting too into my head about having to run the entire 5K continuously. Because I started with C25K I can now run 2 miles on the treadmill…

You are spending alot of calories on salad dressing. You may want to find a lighter dressing. Also, stay away from the french fries! That was 880 calories and just for a side dish! They aren't worth it. As everyone else is saying, you need to be more diligent with your logging. Then you will make better decisions. You'll…

They are puking their guts up on The Biggest Loser. When I run I feel like I could throw up. I think it's just part of getting used to hard workout.

This problem will resolve itself. As you continue to change, so will your interests...and so will your friends.

I don't know. I think that pre-MFP, I would have been one of those people who asked "you sure you don't want a piece of cake?"...not to be mean or insensitive but b/c I couldn't imagine how anyone could pass up cake! Maybe you are a bit too insecure and others are a bit too pushy. I say buck up. Continue to say no and then…

Here's my current playlist. The one's with * are explicit. It's about 6 hours and 30 minutes. It's on Spotify if you can access it. I just titled it "running". Doctor Jone - Aqua My Humps - black eyed peas Get Busy - Sean Paul Angel - Shaggy How you like me now - The Heavy Ooh la la - Goldfrapp It's Tricky - RUN DMC…

Wow. That's so harsh...and I can't quit laughing. There is some truth to it though. You shouldn't have to babysit a grown man.

I know! When I walk through the bakery at Kroger to get to the produce....how's that for store layout?....I think "gross. poison. gross". I figure one day I may even believe it.

There's a bowl of fun size 3 Muskateers, Snicker and M&M's on my kitchen counter. There is a box of Little Debbie Nutty Bars in my pantry. There's ice cream in my freezer. But I'm not eating any of it. Simple as that.

I agree. I have a bunch of people over for Thanksgiving so I will be cooking the usual fattening fare, but this year I will be a little more careful about how much I eat. I'm still going to enjoy the smashed potatoes and gravy b/c those are my favorite, but will probably eat more turkey and no bread. Other than that, I'm…

This isn't about weight loss. This is a relationship problem.

I too suffered from depression and was on medication for a while. When my doctor put me on the meds he made it clear that it was a TEMPORARY fix...just a bandaid to get me through, but that it would require more than meds to make me feel better. And he was right. I found my way to an excellent counselor who helped me…
