I agree--WOW! You look amazing, and that dress--gorg!

What I like best are compliments unique to me...my hubby is great at this--he will compliment me on things I say or do, as well as the way I look. It makes me feel like he "gets" me.

By no means an expert, but I don't see them as mutually exclusive. I see strength training as key to improved performance in endurance activities. I tend to gravitate toward endurance activities (running, swimming) because I enjoy them a whole lot more than strength exercises, but to improve in the activities I love, I've…

AMAZING work!! You look so tiny now!!!

I am 5'3'' and currently 172. At my heaviest, I was 186. I have run for the last six years or so, and the weight hasn't really been an issue for me. I did have a period about 2 years ago (when I was at about my current weight) where I was having bad hip, knee and shoulder pain, but just on my left side. I went to the…

There have been weeks when I haven't lost, and there are some weeks when I've lost more than I should...it does seem to balance out though. I try to see the scale as one guide I have that I'm on the right track, but the most important to me is the way I look and feel. On the weeks that the scale isn't my friend, I try to…

Just my experience, but I mix Jillian DVD's with running, and I've been a lot more successful than I was with running alone. I've lost 14 lbs, and have been doing Jillian for about 2 months. I always think switching it up keeps your body working and burning more calories, so I'd recommend varying the workouts you do. Hope…

No one has been quite that cruel to me, I have to say, but I have had some nasties to deal with. I think I've learned over my lifetime of ups and downs with weight and other issues that people's comments have alot more to do with them than with me. I try to step back and look at why they might say something nasty like…

Holy Guacamole...GREAT GREAT GREAT job!!!

They don't have to know if she's flying back--they do, however, have to be consistent with their policy with regard to who they will and will not fly. If the family can show the airline's decision not to fly her out the second time was 1) discriminatory and 2) proximately caused her death--they win the case.
-
Overweight--especially with her other conditions--would most likely be considered a disability under the law. Whether you agree with it or not--they have a GREAT case. Yes, I'm assuming in a short time, she did not become morbidly obese. Pretty sure I'm right. I said they have the best case against the carrier that allowed…

Thinking they have a pretty good case against the airline that allowed her to fly away from home but would not fly her back--inconsistent refusal of service = discrimation on what was clearly a disability.

I just finished Ripped in 30, and I'm now doing it again, but a modified version. I do Ripeed 2-3 days a week, and then run 3-4 days a week. I even did week 1 and week 2 one after the other. I really like it!! It's made a big difference in my strength--that's for sure. I shaved off a good few minutes from my 8K time...

What a great job you've done, and what an inspiration you are!! So happy for you!

I have done Jillian Michaels Ripped in 30, and you can get quite toned without using weights. She has a lot of strength exercises in there that use your own body weight as the resistance. You can add the weights you have to make them a bit more substantial.

I am finding the belly weight to be troublesome. My upper body looks fit, and my face looks thinner, even my thighs...but my belly is still jelly...and I do believe there are some muscles under there hoping to come out one day.

There's one on skinnytaste.com that I plan to try! I hope you find one you like!

I've had mine for three years--and always used the pill before that. I have had two children, and my youngest was about 4 when I got it put in. Pretty sure no more kids, but I did not want to take the pill for my next 10 years or so of "fertility". I have no periods what so ever, and mine was pretty heavy before, even on…

Fantastic work!! That sounds like it would be grueling...but super rewarding!!

You look TERRIFIC!! Thank you for sharing--super inspiring to me :)

Thanks for all you've done Heather--last weigh in is TOMORROW. Wow! How time flies!

I also had some pain in my left hip while running--it loosened up after about a mile, but was pretty painful. I went to the chiro, and he said because of my alignment, my left side was actually "shorter" so was striking harder. I went to the chiro for about 10 weeks, and I haven't had any issues since. Highly recommend…

November is deer-mating season as well. Coincidence? I think not!

Then who?

That wouldn't work so well for me

Just plain rude and adolescent--probably a small, pimply-faced moron that hasn't grown or matured since the 7th grade. Totally get that this would hit you wrong...but you totally know you could kick his/her *kitten*.
