You should probably get in shape while taking the classes......I don't think anyone would hire an overweight personal trainer. But I think they would be twice as likely to hire a personal trainer who has been there and done it themselves..... Take the classes and go for it!! What a great goal to work toward! Good luck!

well...in order to gain a pound you have to consume 3500 calories OVER what you need to maintain.....so 5 pounds would be 17.500 calories over... Did you eat that many? Most likely it's water retention, or your scale is not very accurate.

I think putting them in order from low to high would be better........as it's hard to guess the exact calorie content. Sounds like fun!

I agree...I have realised if I do use the machines, to do each leg separately, otherwise the right leg does most of the work :-) Same with arms I suppose, but I notice it more in my legs. Even though my legs are the same size i think?

Welcome! You are right.....you will be able to figure out exactly how many calories your body needs. It has helped me a lot! Good luck losing those 20 pounds :-) You will do it!

I eat 3 meals and 3 snacks.....sometimes the snacks have more calories than the meal :-) I need my evening snack....usually some yogurt or a slice of bread with peanut butter to keep me from wanting to snack on junk food. I've been doing this for about 85 days now and have never been hungry, so it's working great for me..…

O..ok....It's about using the word loose instead of lose.....I've gotten so used to people not spelling words right ( or using the wrong word altogether), I don't even notice it anymore.

I agree....I don't count the natural sugars either. If I did I wouldn't be able to eat 2-3 pieces of fruit....that would be rediculous.

It really frustrates me too when I see that! It is very addicting, but once you kick the habbit everything tastes just fine without loads of sugar ( or nasty substitutes) I guess not everyone gets it. You have to break away from your old eating habbits completely....this isn't about diet, it's about CHANGING your eating…

I eat bread......As long as i don't go over my 1200 calories, I still lose weight. I try to eat healthy and balanced, but there are days that I eat a lot of bread. I eat organic whole grain bread though...not the white stuff.

Dairy products do have sugar in them naturally...get the kind that doesn't have any more added. But I wouldn't worry that much about the sugar that naturally occurs in it. The first thing that jumped out at me was the coffee creamer.....I would stop using that, it's usually made with hydrogenated oils...artificial flavors etc.. Not very healthy.. Other than that the food choices looked pretty good.

Well.....if you watch the movie you will find there are less standards for bottled water than for tap water. We should all get angry about what is happening to our drinking water....it is rapidly being depleted. This is why I want people to watch informative movies about what is going on.

I usually cook about a week's worth at one time. In the morning I get about 1/4 cup of cooked oats, add a little milk and a Tbsp of flaxseed, heat it up and add cinnamon and maybe some walnuts or almonds. You could add some honey if you want it sweeter, but for me it's sweet enough.

I'm 5.6 and about 136 right now.... My BMI is good, but I know I need to lose about 5-10 more pounds. You can tell when there's still extra fat on your stomach ( or where ever else you carry it)......So even though I'm not considered overweight, I'm not where I need to be.
