Enjoy being in London - we just returned from holiday there for a few days and I miss it already. You will walk alot so try not to worry too much.

Hang in there! I know how you feel - I have gained several pounds this month and I am frustrated too but I am going to just keep trying too. Don't give up.

I notice that before my TOM and the day after I am really hungry too!

I am not a skinny person - so I can't tell you what to eat. But I know to lose weight you need to burn more calories than you take in. it can be overwelming to get on a site like this - many ideas and opinions. I would agree with those who say to start small. Add salads, fruits and veggies to your meals. Someone said to…

Congrats on your first year! Teaching is the best job in the world. Hang in there those first years - it'll be worth it in the end! If you can, read The First Day of School by Harry Wong. Best teaching book ever. Don't be afraid to ask for help. Make friends with the secretaries and the custodians, As far as lunch goes - I…

I hurt my knees doing Insanity (which was too bad because I liked it) but swimming was a good workout while my knees healed.

There may be a health clinic at your school with a scale?

You have great goals. Make sure you are eating enough to fuel all your exercise. Have you looked at e TDEE calculator? Better to lose slowly than fast and possibly gain it all back later. I would agree with the other poster - don't cut out all the things you enjoy - this is a journey not a sprint.

Hang in there! I used to binge too- I gained 30 lbs in three month binging every day. Can you try to limit yourself to one or two treats per day? I agree with those who said to log anyway - writing it down will help. Speaking of writing, journaling can help with the binging - sometimes it helps to get your feelings on…

So glad you posted Tom! Like everyone else said, one day at a time. Just start logging. There are lots of good posts that'll help you gain knowledge. If you feel like taking a walk, even a short one, that'll help too. If you have a smart phone look at the Striiv app - it makes walking fun. We are all learning here - you…

I am 5'2" and started at 133 - I was not losing much either at 1200 until I started eating my exercise calories back. The weight has been coming off since then at a slow rate but it is (thank God) finally coming off. Try eating your calories back - you should be netting at least 1200 or more. Hope that helps.

I am 5'2'' and a half- does that count? I have only lost 7 pounds and it has been slow but since I upped my calories )between 1500 to 1600 or so it has been coming off easier. Hang in there!

Hang in there! You can do it. Don't give up. We all have bad days sometimes. I would agree with the person who said make small goals - even"I'll walk around the block" or whatever. If you have a smartphone - take a look at the Striiv app. It makes walking fun!

Okay - thanks! Appreciate it!

Every day. God cares about everything - even our weight loss struggles.

When I feel like that I tell myself i'll just do five minutes and then stop. Usually I keep going once I start. Hang in there!

 Thanks for the ideas everyone - I think the hardest thing is I can't eat much because I can't get much exercise. So I am either hungry (and cranky) or I go over. Thanks for the suggestion about the pool - hoping to do that on the weekend!
