• whispering so no one can hear- congrats on being out of jail. o:)
• I also read your profile after seeing mikeyrs post and to be quite honest, I would probably do my best NOT to be gym partner as well. You sound so fit and I bet you look amazing. I would be terrified to be your partner. I would however be quite happy to be your friend and have a coffee with you after class but gym partner…
• Deadlifts - yep I'm impressed. :) I am fast approaching 60 and lifting a cup of tea is more my style.
• I think logging is an extremely useful tool and is a great way to assess what you are eating but I don't see it as a permanent thing. It makes you aware that even if you are eating healthy food, you are probably eating too much.
• What works best for me is definitely a no bread paleo style diet. I am definitely not a fanatic and I cheat ALL the time, drink wine, eat oats and dairy and am basically not the golden girl when it comes to waving the paleo flag. But I find if I eat as close to nature as possible both my wealth and my health improve. But…
• My name is Leena and I am extremely grateful for your warm welcome. I am looking forward to getting to know you all. :)
• Hello everyone. :) Before I introduce myself, can I ask a question first? Am I allowed to mention the word Paleo and the fact that I am trying to cut added sugar out of my diet?
• Here is an article posted by Trinh Le who is the dietitian consultant for MyFitnessPal. She holds her master’s in public health, nutrition from the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill, and is a registered dietitian. Trinh is a proponent of balancing food and exercise for a healthy lifestyle. 2 Science-Backed…
• I agree tedboosalis. I agree with ndj as well (but not the bit in bold as I think there may be some words missing???) You can easily gain weight following a Paleo diet as they are so many amazing foods to eat but most people find by cutting out grains and dairy they do lose weight. A modern version of Paleo suits me as I…
• Sorry this is such a late reply but we are renovating at the moment and the house is in chaos and I haven't been on the computer much. Which is perhaps a good thing, as it can be a bit of a time waster sometimes. :p I have bought a really good cold press Oscar juicer this time and there is very little pulp left over and it…
• After years of juicing, I actually prefer the vegetables. I usually only add one piece of fruit as it is too sweet otherwise.
• Juicing is great when incorporated into a healthy and balanced diet but it is not sustainable and will not help you lose weight long term. Once you return to your "normal" eating pattern, the weight will return. Learning to eat in a healthy manner and in a deficit will get you results weightwise and healthwise. Everyone in…
• Apparently MFP have had an update. http://blog.myfitnesspal.com/introducing-myfitnesspal-upgrade/?utm_source=mfp&utm_medium=Facebook
• Nice to see you back. I have missed reading your wonderful posts. :)
• Looks like Diet Pepsi is also sick of the debate over the safety of Aspartame and are removing it from their product. Diet Pepsi will no longer contain aspartame beginning this summer By Chris Welch on April 24, 2015 10:50 am "Pepsi is getting rid of aspartame, the artificial sweetener and sugar substitute that has been an…

• I must admit Tex made me slurp my coffee and have a bit of a laugh. I thought it was funny and just presumed he was having a go at how grumpy people get when dieting.
• Definitely makes you feel super inadequate. But I bet these people don't have that "lived in, feels like home" effect going on. :p
• If your cupboards are a bit of a mess, there are some ideas here that might work for you. I would love to be as organised as these people. http://dailyburn.com/life/health/diy-organizing-ideas-healthy-kitchen/?partner=MFP&mtype=14&sub_id=MFP&utm_source=MFP
• I took this off Facebook today. Probably nothing to do with the subject but I found it interesting and funny. It was posted by Coach Stevo who is the nutrition and behavior change consultant at San Francisco CrossFit. He is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist, holds a BA in Philosophy from the University of…
• It is difficult to base any opinion on the little snippet in the paper. However, I think basically at this stage you have people who like it and don't see any problem with it, those who don't like it and see future problems because of the artificial flavours and chemicals, those who drink a little and are not fussed and…
• Sara, you look amazing, congratulations on your achievement, but I will stick to water and herbal tea. :) How do you fit any food in with all that coke and Mt. Dew? I would have to go without my dinner.
• Is this the article Christine? - Diet Soft Drinks = Bigger Guts It might not have the calories of a regular soft drink, but a diet drink with artificial sweeteners may still wreak havoc on our waistline. A US study looked at the 10 year health records of older adults (with an average age of 65 when the study began) and…

• I think you will find you have a food intolerance of some kind, possibly wheat. Once I stopped eating wheat, not only did the pain stop but I stopped bloating as well. Over the Easter break, I ate a couple of hot cross buns at a friend's place. Why? Because they smelled amazing and I was starving at the time. Afterwards my…
• Yeah, I was actually a little freaked out by that but I bet we all agreed to that being done when we registered.
• Here is the link - http://www.myfitnesspal.com/jobs
Why did I just read the last job posting as "Sorcerer"??? I would SOOOO have applied!
Missed that bit about Sorcerer!! Sounds interesting but I was too busy concentrating on the Perks list - •Competitive salary •401k •Equity •Apple equipment…
• Or you could just read them here. :)
• I have found a lot of people don't have a FB page and personally I am a bit the same, it is not my favourite place. So I just print out some of the articles if anyone is interested. :)
• I found this article by Sabrina Tillman, managing editor for MyFitnessPal interesting. Struggling to Lose Weight? Your Environment May Be to Blame You might not know it, but food psychologist Brian Wansink has probably already influenced the way that you eat. Although some of his views differ radically from conventional…
